kathyfree @gildedageart does this come with any type of provenance, any paperwork. Who authenticated it ? I love the frame.

gildedageart This Renoir has been in my family for 50 years, bought by a Manhattan Art dealer on 2nd Avenue.. My Gr-Aunt only bought 19th Century blue book art. Yes Swann Galleries NYC authenticated it this etching in 2015 to Renoir by their old master etchings specialist.

kathyfree @gildedageart I’m truly interested. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time so I don’t ask a bunch of questions with no intention of buying. I am interested in buying this. Do you have any paper work ? Any documentation of when it was made?

gildedageart My aunt purchased this from an Art Dealer in Manhattan in the 1970's. The matting was falling apart, and was re-matted in 2015. That is when Swann Galleries gave a verbal authentication when it was examined by their specialists that it indeed is a genuine Renoir etching. The Renoir is $1,600.00, and cannot go any lower than that.
