19th Century Imari Japanese Meiji Bowl with Crane Motif
This unique Japanese Porcelain bowl dating from the Meiji era (1868-1912) is boldly hand painted with deep rich blue and cinnabar enamel. The well of the bowl features various designs in multi colors and includes a crane, or 'Tancho' a symbol of fidelity, good luck, love and long life. The sides and rim of the bottom are decorated with a brilliant blue design.
