19th Century Silk on Cotton Uzbek Suzani Tapestry Throw 19th Century hand embroidered silk on cotton Uzbek Suzani. Vegetable dyed colors of pink, blue, light and dark brown with a border of faded black. The original backing is a bubble flower pattern in shades of burgundy, black and light grey. I bought this from an antique dealer friend in northern Afghanistan while I was living there in 2003. The item is in very nice shape considering age.
