19th-Century ABP Double-Diamond Pineapple-Cut, Flare-Top Vase in Heavy Crystal

This 19th-Century (c. 1860) Double-Diamond Pineapple-Cut Vase was mouth-blown in heavy, leaded crystal during the American Brilliant Period of glassmaking. As part of the authenication of its age, this vase was placed under ultraviolet light where it did glow brightly in an intense yellowish-green color (Please see photos). This antique crystal vase is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, and no discoloration. This exceptionally beautiful, handcrafted, antique crystal vase is an outstanding example of the renderiings of the "pineapple art" that became so wildly popular throughout Europe and America in response to the newfound Hawaii and its exotic fruits.
