The Vintage Czechoslovakian Hand Made Black Tapestry Victorian Purse is Clutch style with a chain handle. Excellent estate piece no stains. Approximately 6.5" wide x 5.5” tall. The little Canadian bag is a stunning example of the art of petite point. The stitching on this little purse is amazing and perfect. The colors and design are fabulous too. It is in great condition & measures about 5" tall x 6.5" wide. Great examples of how women always managed to find a way to make art. They would be wonderful framed, because they really are art. Gorwood was originally a French company that specialized in evening purses that were hand beaded or embroidered. In the 1920's they opened a branch in Quebec, Canada.
