2 "Occupied Japan" ceramic musicians. Organ grinder & accordion player.
2 musician figurines produced in Japan post World War II. The base of each figurine is stamped "Made in Occupied Japan" and has a maker's mark of an elephant head with an "A" at the end of the tusks. This head is flanked by the initials "E" and "L".
Organ Grinder:
This bearded gentleman is wearing a hat, gray vest over a white shirt, green pants and has a monkey sitting on top his organ. Unfortunately, the monkey is missing his hand (that probably held the donations cup). And the monkey was glued His back vest has a little chip please look at the pictures He is standing in front of his instrument case. He measures about 6-3/4" high x 2-3/4" wide x 2-3/4" deep.

This mustachioed man is wearing a brown, alpine-style hat, brown jacket, grey pants and spats (shoes). He is standing in front of his accordion case and holding the instrument in front. He measures 7" high x 3-1/4" wide x 4-1/4" deep.
His left hand is missing 2 fingers please look at the pictures
