These two 1970's bread/dessert speckled ceramic plates are unique, vintage age and hard to find ! They are very clean, strong color contrast and the glaze is smooth. They measure 7 1/4" inches in diameter with 1" Height. They were made by Homer Laughlin China Company for Jepcor in the Hearthside shape. In excellent condition with no obvious signs of wear. The pattern features a stylized sun brown on a super speckled 1970s amber base. They were sold by Countrystone china in the "Acapulco" Pattern.
The back part of plates are also amber speckled and unmarked. As described in the marketing materials for this pattern:
"...sunny 'Acapulco', a dramatic, bold design inspired by native Aztec art. Durable, as well as handsome, this dinnerware can be taken from the freezer, to oven, and to the table in one easy step. Chip resistant and dishwasher safe, too. With the minimum of care, you're sure to enjoy this Countrystone dinnerware for years and years."
