Route 66 # 1460 is one of the earlier figurines from the Trail of Painted Ponies collection, and is made of ceramics rather than resin. Designed by Ellen Sokoloff, made by Westland in the early 2000s, it was formally retired in 07/05. Figurine measures 6"H x 7"W x 2 3/8"D. The base is 5 1/2" long x 2 1/2" wide.
This Pony is a replica of of a horse featured in the Public Art Project in New Mexico in 2000. The artist, Ellen Sokoloff, considers herself an "Americana Painter." Her artwork preserves scenes from an earlier time in our country's history.
This particular pony is number 7,532 from the 3rd edition. It comes with the original box, tag and packaging. Box has been stored in a closet in a non-smoking household.
