- 2008 " Yankee Stadium " lidded stein. This 9 1/2" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. Artist John Rivoli created this stein to celebrate the unique characteristics of the stadium. Yankee Stadium, a tradition that spans more than 8 decades, was basically christened the day Babe Ruth hit a 3 run homer, in the inaugural game (April 18, 1923,) against the Boston Red Sox. Thus it's nickname: "The House That Ruth Built". Stein features include the building's distinctive facade, blue & white tiles preserved during the stadium's 1976 modernization, dates encircle the base of the stein, commemorating each of the Yankees 26 World Series Championship titles and a banner at the top of the stein that proudly proclaims: "Courage, Tradition, Heart". The pewter lid features a ceramic inlay with The New York Yankees logo. NY initials adorn the pewter thumbrest. Individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Gift box. (Limited Production of 5000)
