@stephhunttoo hi, this ring is made with a natural (earth mined) Ruby. I believe it has been fissure filled (A common treatment for Rubies). The color is natural (the stone hasn’t been dyed) so it should never fade. I love this ring! I wish it still fit me. Hope this helps :) Rose
