🆕 Catherine of Aragon Wife of Henry VIII 🇬🇧 -Inspired by Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon, this decoration would add majestic elegance to any Christmas tree. -The highly decorative figure is adorned with pearl and gold finish beads and sparkly gold thread to give a regal appearance. -Catherine of Aragon (1485 – 1536) was Queen of England from 1509 until 1533, as the first wife of King Henry VIII. Unable to produce a male heir, Catherine’s marriage to Henry began to sour and Henry began pursuing her lady-in-waiting, Anne Boleyn. In 1527 Henry, still desperate for a son, asked the Pope for an annulment of his marriage so he could marry his new mistress. For seven years the Pope refused to annul their marriage, as he was afraid of angering Catherine's nephew, the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V.
