$2600 New VTG Yves Saint Laurent 44 12 Victorian Midi Corset Dress Runway Black

I found not only this dress, but a pair of trousers, a silk blouse, and a cargo skirt. All vintage Yves Saint Laurent, from the same collection. All black, all new (blouse had been worn), and all size 44 or size 12. What a magnificent find! 🥂 This black, sleeveless dress is by French luxury clothing designer Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche for size 44 or size US 12. The dress is new, but the tags have been removed. A did a bit of research on this dress, and received conflicting information. One seller said this dress was from the 1990’s, and another said it was designed by Tom Ford for YSL in the early 2000’s. One seller claimed it sold for $2600 and another for $1160. This dress is pretty structured, with ruffles at the mock neck and accentuating the wearers curves. Almost like a sleeveless, shorter Edwardian dress. Almost. There are dozens of hook and eye closures in the front, and pockets at the hips. The fabric is a woven cotton/spandex blend, so there’s a bit of stretch to it.
