jodisjewelry @alioopla4513 I’m sorry, pls bear with me. We got hit with the snow a few wks ago n mom stayed with us and a rubber hose burst in a bathroom, so it sprayed the entire room n gushed for days before we caught it, so her house is drying out n she’s staying with us. We just remodeled this bath last fall n we’re now looking at another complete renovation n new floors in bdrms on both sides of bath and half the hall n it’s a big mess. I will find this I promise.

jodisjewelry @alioopla4513 Thank you! Mother got a bad leg infection n was in hosp n rehab abt 4,yrs ago, she stayed with us for 6 mo following to recuperate, during which we got a choc lab, he’s 4 now, but he has a special bond with his Grand Mom 😂. Hubs has always been great abt having her here. She had a bad fall abt 2 yrs ago, again hosp n rehab n home health, but she’s more feeble this time, so we’re not taking any chances letting her go home while there are fans and cords she could trip over.

jodisjewelry @alioopla4513 She lives in my childhood home, and we are close enough where I can get to her easily. Most of the neighbors she’s known forever, and they’re great to look after her and call me about anything. One woman across the street lives with her mom n brings mom a hot meal daily bc she has extra when she cooks.

jodisjewelry @alioopla4513 She’s funny n won’t ever accept money, so I’ve been buying her gift cards to the grocery store m she gladly accepts those. She always says well, it would go to waste if I didn’t give it to your mom, and I appreciate that so much, but at the same time, I know how much groceries are these days and want to contribute, it’s just the right thing to do and it keeps mom from feeling like she’s getting charity.

jodisjewelry @alioopla4513 I know she’s ready to get home, once we get everything dry, then the adjuster comes n then the contractor will be back, so she’ll probably be back with us during the renovations. Funny how it seems we’ve either had periods of life life that were boring, or all you know what is breaking loose! I’d be happy for somewhere in between. 😂😂
