3 Rare Bank of Canada 1954 DEVILS FACE $ 1 Bill & 17 of the 1954 1967 Modified portrait versions. 1954 $1 bills were issued as they noticed the “Devils face” & immediately recalled the bills & reprinted as “modified portrait” notes. If you look at Queen Elizabeth’s hair then you can see a shape that looks like a hook nose, bushy eye brows, and snarled lips.
