30s 40s Sheer Cotton Bias Dress Maxi Floral Cottage Prairie Lace Trim S Vintage

💐Stunning vintage 1930s -1940s cottagecore / prairie / goddess dress!! Sunny floral bouquets float over the soft, semi-sheer pale yellow cotton that has been sewn on the bias. Small gathers at the bustline give shape and with the bias stretch, it is easy to wear. Delicate ruffled cotton lace accents the v-neckline. The hem gently floats out from the body of this maxi. No brand. There is the remnant of a very small white tag, but not readable. 💐Size is a Small to a smaller M. I would estimate a 4-6. The bias cut gives quite a few inches to the measurements below, but because of age, I would not try to squeeze in. A model of size Medium / 8 (36/30/40) was able to try on. Bust was tight, but waist and hips fit ok. For actually wearing – should be smaller than that – especially bust size. Approximate Measurements when flat: Bust: 15” (Stretch to 16+) Waist: 15” Hip: 18” Length” 52" Good Vintage Condition. Surprisingly nice condition for age. I mended a seam and also hand-mended some lace edges and these repairs are not visible. There are a few thinner fabric spots and only one spot near the hem. Very wearable - but be gentle.
