4 Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Cups With Country Landscape. E-OH Nippon. Circa 1891 to 1921 Japanese porcelain made for export to the United States from 1891 to 1921 is marked Nippon. Marking manufacturing goods with the country of origin was required by the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890 for import into the United States. American trade officials accepted Nippon as the name of the country of origin until 1921. SIZE: Height: 3 7/8" Rim diameter: 3" Base diameter: 2" Length: (rim to handle): 3 7/8" Condition: Very good antique condition with no chips or cracks. There is paint loss on the handles of all 4 cups and on the front of one of the cups (tree trunk)
