40'S SILK SCARF, ST. LAWRENCE SEAWAY, VINTAGE, RARE AND COLORFUL

In the early 1940's my mom and a girlfriend took a boat trip down the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Saguenay River. Somewhere along the way she bought this beautiful and colorful silk scarf depicting points of interest along the way... including Quebec highlights like Montreal, St. Anne de Beaupre shrine and Quebec City. Also pictured are other Canadian cities like Toronto and Ottawa, and other Provinces and famous sites. This is a really nice scarf in excellent vintage condition, about 29" square. The only little thing to note is that about 1” of the handkerchief hem is loose. I visited Quebec about 20 years ago but did not have a chance to sail the Seaway. It is a beautiful and historic area and a great place to visit and dine! The seaway was begun, with the first canal, in 1842 and completed in 1959.
