40’s Inspired Japanese Wool Dress

This 40’s inspired dress is so amazing. It honestly looks and feels like my True Vintage wool crepe pieces from the 40’s. Jane Justin is a brand that was wildly popular in the 60’s here in the States as “Jane Justin for Don Sophisticates” and was picked up by Sanyo Fashion House in Japan in the 1970’s. The dress has a very signature 40’s silhouette: Pronounced padded shoulders and a nipped waist, with a voluminous flare at the hem. There are 6 black resin buttons on each arm, sleeve to cuff, meant to emulate the glass buttons of the 40’s. The dress was Made in Japan, from 100% Wool Crepe with a Rayon Lining. Labeled an 8, the dress measures 18-19” across the chest, 15-16” across the waist, with a 22.5” sleeve and is 39” long. It could also fit a larger size (it’s labeled an 8), I’m going to call it a Medium. Please be sure the measurements work for your figure before purchasing, thank you. EUC, Vintage but Like New!
