Quantity five antique lithograph prints that are copyrighted Julius Mossel. Julius Mossel was a German artist born in 1871 who moved to Chicago and is known for his paintings, mural paintings in buildings, and architecture. These lithograph prints appear to be a mix of his paintings, pictures of his mural paintings, and other architectural design. Each print measures approximately 15.75" x 11.75". I am not sure exactly the age of these but they appear to be circa early 1900s. They look like they are either from a book or portfolio as each is labeled with a table number (tafel).
Here is a brief description of each print:
Landsknechte: The Landsknechte were Germanic mercenaries used in pike and shot formations during the early modern period. This print is dated 1903 in the upper right corner.
Salon: This print features two views of what I assume are rooms either designed by Mossel or containing artwork done by Mossel.
Entwurf Fur Wandmalerei Der Schottenhamelbude Auf Dem Oktoberfest In Munchen: This appears to be a draft print of a mural Mossel did for an Oktoberfest in Munich.
Plafondbild Im Vestibule Des Regentenbaues Der KGL Badeanstalt Kissingen: This is a ceiling mural done by Mossel.
Dekoration Einer Ausstellungshalle: Decoration of an exhibit hall that I assume was done by Mossel since it signed in the lower right corner.
Some minor wear mainly around the edges. There is also some foxing on some of the prints. See pictures for further d
