50s Lucite Clutch Purse with Rhinestones by Ilene

A fabulous Lucite oblong baguette clutch embellished with rhinestones in a design of recessed squares on the front surface. The Lucite is of a dark coppery amber or tortoiseshell. Fold-over Lucite and brass clasp. Dates to the mid-1950s. Opens to peach colored taffeta lining with deeply pleated end gussets. Original interior label reads, "ILENE" PARIS, NEW YORK, LONDON”. Its style made it one of the most fantastic and desirable handbags of the 50's. Missing 4 Rhinestones. The clutch measures 8-1/4 long x 3-1/4 high (w/o clasp) x 2 inches deep (front to back).
