50s Vintage Swing Coat Evening New Look Blue Taffeta Outerwear

This 50s evening coat won the Plutzer Prize! Yes, PLUTZER. That's the label on the coat (shown). This is heavy blue taffeta with a big flare. Double Peter Pan collar and just one button for closure up top. Wide half sleeves, with wide double cuffs. No lining! This swing coat has volume and may fit some plus sizes. CONDITION: There were fabric irregularities in the back of the collar, so a beaded applique (a serendipitous match) was added to cover them (shown before and after). There is fading, more pronounced on one sleeve, also shown in last photos. There are 11 photos because this needed a LOT! Clean.
