I had the same person ask me to email her because she had questions about the item! Told her I keep my communications through posh and would be happy to answer any questions, never heard from her again. 😑 What I'd like to know, is why they want your email? If they're just collecting for spam, there's got to be a more efficient way than asking every single person :/

@jojo12 She has been reported and Lyann told me they are investigating her. She sent my sister and I messages too wanting us to email her. She told me she had a question about shipping. I immediately got suspicious since she has no listings! Poshmark does advise about not going off app to respond to anyone.

That's when I Commented re: my concern about potential burglars having our home addresses if they purchase an item from us; I thought hackers/nefarious characters in general sort of belong in same category! I haven't gotten any spam to the account (it's my PM account) - she's a hacker? ugh. @jenncall69 @enigma Thx so much! Just FYI, you may already know....There is also a girl with an empty closet and a- well - obscene "handle"; I think it's a PM person who created a 2nd PM identity, then "likes" items when she is mad at you, so her disturbing handle/name shows up as "liked by ____" under your item. I'll report her.

I think she even references specific Sellers, I didn't watch the video, hate that stuff. She has a bunch of items, new and sold.... not sure if reporting that is - trampling on civil liberties or some such. People have a right to their (bad!) opinions, but - why is she SELLING ON PM if she hates it so much?

This kinddestiny chick asked me to email the exact same way, and I did, because I'm a trusting fool, but never got a response. According to a recent poll of my tech-geek friends, a hacker can't really do much with just your email address. The most they can probably get is your ISP address. As long as you don't email out personal info, you should be safe. I changed my passwords and left it at that. Also, another Posher did report kinddestiny to the FBI Cyber Crimes Division, but these scammers change their usernames often. Just keep things on Posh unless you're communicating with someone you know and trust.

There is nothing THAT personal!! that a stranger on PM needs to ask you! They can ask it here! You can put up extra pics ON here!! The only time bad stuff has happened, in my experience, is when people take it off PM !😘

@enigma I did have a couple items listed just to get my feet wet in this new way of buying and selling things.. But when she didn't answer I got scared and hubby said she probably spam or tried to hack my acct.. So I just took it off and just be a buyer until I can get more info in posh way of selling things.. I've been ok with Craigslist, but this looks easier and safer I thought.... I hope to learn more and get professional in how to be more savvy in this selling department site:)

@angelbear042 Hi! If you can't see listings .it means their closet was closed for not following guidelines, so selling replicas, using Paypal..etc. if you are blocked, you can still see the listings and buy, you just can't comment, negotiate, share, etc...

Posh Etiquette Guidelines that the rules are pretty clear..don't sell fakes, don't scam or go offsite, don't use Paypal, don't harass or bother people, don't make unkind, rude or obnoxious comments, etc...that you are pretty well forewarned..IMHO ✌💗

@adelajael Please don't use Paypal, that's the number 1 way, people get scammed. Reverse the transaction and do it through PM, I wouldn't block her, until the transaction is fixed, maybe she will buy through PM. Block is at the top right corner, for future reference.

@enigma thanks for the warning. As a Cyber Security Expert I can tell you that Poshmark is not locked down well enough. Also, I have reported several individuals for similar instances and Posh as not removed or reprimanded the individuals. Block and report is a good thing to do. However the best and most important rule is please do not give out your email address to anyone. Thanks for reading.

@chuchala99 I think what she wrote is great. But she does include screenshots of the closets with their usernames, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I don't think there's anything wrong with her listing, just as I didn't think their was anything wrong with any of the dozens and dozens of other listings that have done the same, and for which I stood up for because Posh's treatment of those sellers was wrong. I know this initial listing is old but it had more recent comments, so I just wanted to let her know what was going on. Just supporting fellow poshers. 😘💕

@cmhowald Hi!! Ok..this post was because 2 specific emails posted one day last YEAR (APRIL) the same contact info on a huge amount of listings. At the time, MANY Poshmarkers became stressed about getting hacked and were panicking. This WAS/IS an informative post, simply stating not to give out your email, you can communicate effectively on PM. Nowhere, in my closet do I give out my email, I conduct all of my transactions through PM. Now..for one year, this post has remained drama free, I really prefer all of my posts to remain drama-free. Normally, I wouldn't even respond, but it really did sound as if you had a hidden agenda, in your first message. May I please ask you to leave me out of it? I have a really tough workload right now, and things like this make PM not fun for me. Thank you for your understanding.💗💗✌💗💗

When I looked at her closet she had zero listings abt 7000 followers & she was following many. Prob getting email addresses to spam. That is a big red flag to me now. I blocked & reported her.
