Ladies, as I divulge more and more into Posh-land, it has been brought to my attention that there is A LOT of fake MAC on here. I might even go as far to say more fake than real. It is truly disturbing. As a professional makeup artist, I am PLEADING with you not to subject your skin to such atrocity. Knock off cosmetics do NOT contain the same ingredients that real ones do. Think off all the testing a REAL company goes through to actually be on the market. Knock off cosmetics are both fraudulent

makeupbyroxy ...and hazardous to your skin/health. You are wasting your hard earned money on something that may be very detrimental in the end. These products may not work as well or they can even go as far as causing acne, scarring, etc. Please. If you can not tell if a product is real, authentic, whatever you may call it - ASK. Someone who knows their products will be happy to assist. I am always more than happy to help you. I have tagged a few ladies who would love to help too. Lets help each other to stop the massive amounts of fraudulent cosmetics being passed around on posh! This is bad business practice, and unsanitary!

xoxokarito @makeupbyroxy Great post my dear MUA friend! - I am more than happy to assist anyone that I can. Please be aware that these "companies" (factories) are overseas and do not have to through the hard scrutiny, testing, and laws that FDA compliant MAC does. At times they just use "fillers" such as household cleaning agents like ammonia that can have extreme allergic and sometimes permanent damage to consumers. Please don't be fooled by some of the makeup on this App because as wonderful as it is, it's dangerous at the same time. Happy Poshing Gals! 💋

xoxokarito Thanks! 😉 I also wanted to note, that there are counterfeit URBAN DECAY NAKED palettes as well as counterfeit NARS. So jump on Google Images and compare Counterfeit vs. Authentic. I guarantee that the extra few $ will be completely worth it to have the real deal. 😊 😘💋

makeupbyroxy @cynthia4664 I don't have that lipstick, if I come across it at a reasonable price ill tag you! :) some basics - mac never makes a "24 colour pallet - 88 colour pallet" etc. Packaging is key, as is colour name and colour of product. For example, someone had "candy yum yum" lipstick (hot matte pink) listed and it showed the lipstick as a glazed peachy pink! There are little things that give it away, and then there are HUGE give aways!

sweethrt3219 @makeupbyroxy it really sucks because I got dooped :( I bought a Marilyn Monroe Mac palette not knowing it was fake off of kekeleigh0808. When I got it home it was obvious!! I googled the same pallete & it was $6.98 online :( The girl sold it to me for $40 plus the $4.99 shipping. First I was nice & told her in case she had no clue. She got all offended and rude. So then I just reported her to posh & gave them the link to knock off site! They gave me my money back & I sent it back. So just curious on which one is not real on here :)

makeupbyroxy @sweethrt3219 the first one is the knockoff! I so sorry to hear you got jipped. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask! Marilyn Collection never had a pallet - just all single items. I am really glad posh sided with you on it and have your $ back - it's good to know that they will stand behind it! Authenticity is important! While it may not seem it, those are strange chemicals near your eyes and mouth - in addition to hard earned $ out the window.

There's a girl on here who many women buy high end makeup off of, myself included, & everyone has always had nice things to say & she has repeat customers. Now I'm a little nervous! Her name is @ binkersakilluh & she claims to work for Sephora & says she gets amazing deals on makeup & is able to sell on here at discounted prices. I happened to be reading a post today & someone was accusing her of having fake Naked palettes. I forget which one it was, but she got defensive (it was back in January). Would you mind taking a look at her page? I wouldn't know the difference & I bought a Too Faced Chocolate Palette off her!
