@manymurrays I can't believe I'm actually going to go, but yes!!! This is how I looked at it....it's expensive for us on the east coast....BUT.....bought airline tickets today (b/c lowest prices now).....we have until Aug 27th to buy the tickets for the event for $150 (then goes up to $150), and we have until Sept 27th to reserve the hotel at the discounted rate. Share the room with someone and then it's half! So it's not all out at once. At least that's how I'm justifying it. I really can't believe I decided to go with $$$ as tight as it is for me. But I think it could be REALLY good for our closets and pay off over time for sure!!!

@styliskris lol that's cool. It was so sad what happened when Sandy hit. So many people lost so much. Hope you were spared. We got very lucky. We had damage here but nothing compared to what everyone up there had. My house was spared. It was close, but spared!!! Thank god!!!

@ccripps oh that's great that you were lucky. Us not so much! We had about $15.000 in damage. Every one of our 50 ft oak trees fell. Destroyed our roof our fence our equipment for our business my daughters swing set it was horrible! But it's all material thank goodness we still have a house ya know. Seaside is still a hot mess! It's coming back but very slowly

@styliskris @ccripps I was wondering about the damage you guys had. Soooo sad. Thank God you were all safe! You know....you lose material things like that it really is a wake up call. The value you put on things....and family, love, friendship.....life gets completely overhauled. And probably in a healthy way. On our death beds, I'm sure the things we have isn't what's going to make it all worth it.

@fancy514 well.....we'll have to see now. Tough decision....already bought the flight tickets and the Posh tickets so I would be out that $ (which is a goo amount).....but I would still need to book the hotel (which I'd share with my sister) and would need spending $ (to eat, cabs etc). So.....tough. I just pray my husband has a job by then!!! That would make the decision much easier.
