So here I am throwing up examples of what I've actually seen/read. Feel free to throw up anything new or anything I've missed, be respectful of others, drama free. Hopefully this will help others before they post or purchase.

amysue12483 1. The biggest one of ALL. TRADING. For one, it's against Posh rules...I myself am all about breaking rules, but this one is a No-Brainer. Yes, there are plenty of honest people on here that you can trade with no worries...but there plenty more that are out to SCAM THE CRAP OUT OF YOU. So when you break the Rule....WHY are you posting and complaining about it??!! It's not worth the risk, just don't do it!!.

amysue12483 2. When you start shopping a closet and see an item you like....check the last time it was updated, or when the seller was last on. If it's November 9th, and it hasn't been updated, commented on by the seller or anything, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the seller has not answered your questions....DO NOT BUY IT!! No bull, I saw a girl for this...then, a week later she asked when her item was getting shipped...2 weeks later she asked if it had been shipped yet and all the while no response from a seller who hadn't updated in mooooonths. Seriously?

Okay, so if you were going to buy an item, and it was used or let's say, coming from some random stranger on Poshmark who is not a well known business....wouldn't you read the comments on their listing? See what other folks are saying about the seller, are they trusted, have they scammed, do they ship in a timely manner, etc. How many times have you seen 20 people in a row type, "still available" and get no response? How many people ask the same questions in a single listing because none of them took the time to see what others were saying....too many. 😂

amysue12483 4. Cocky Poshers. I've seen so many Poshers put up postings saying things like, "serious buyers only," or "don't ask questions or for more photos unless your ready to buy." Are you kidding me? I won't even consider browsing your closet, thanks. Even places that matter like I don't know, every known REAL business...doesn't do that. What do you suppose would happen if stores started banning people who asked questions about products, or wanted to see them out of a box? People would stop going. PERIOD. If you put all of the details and different angled photos up in the FIRST place then people wouldn't be so inquisitive. You are not God or Ikea, so get over yourself 😂

amysue12483 *Update* Although Trading is allowed on Poshmark, it is not protected through Poshmark. So basically you get scammed at your own risk. Also, be advised, #1 was in major reference to Trading outside of Poshmark, i.e. via Pypl...that however, is Not Protected and IS against Posh Rules ☺

gayle01 Have to be real careful of silver products on here. Bought a pandora necklace. She had listed as silver but it wasn't when I asked why this didn't look like the picture no answer filed a report through posh & got my money refunded. That's why you follow posh rules they work..

strappednblack I have a lot of silver on here and all my things are not only marked its things I've had for a while and just don't wear cause I'm not well enough to get out and enjoy styling them.... It's a huge disservice to lump all in the category of one or two crooks... .925 is key and if you have a good eye you can see what's real and what's fake.... I'm a firm believer in Karma..and I'm grateful for posh protection.. It works....

amysue12483 @travelbugginger hi doll, I've found that it's pretty half and half. A lot of women think it's annoying while others low it. Yes it is for exposure because the more followers the more sales. This is entirely true and I've tested the theory myself. I don't massive tag anyone anymore I just follow hundreds of people a day and because of this I can usually get a sale every few days 😉☺☺

gwendolynn I purchased an item from a seller and gave her a 4 star rating because the whole experience wasn't a perfect 5 star. The item wasn't the color that I thought it was and a bit more used than I thought in listing. She then asked me was there a problem with the item. I didn't want to go into the reason I stared above I said the item was okay. There was a little back and forth, so I gave her 5 stars to make her go away. I felt bullied .

Everybody here is somewhat a shopaholic, we all know what's high end, middle of the road, and well, not lol 2. Spelling and grammar. If I see one more listing for a sequence top or dress!!!!!! rauthement It's ok to tell some people there not following the rules without them going crazy on you, for example I'm very new to Poshmark and I didn't know everything you could and couldn't sell, and a fellow posher commented on my closet, she noticed I had a few things that weren't allowed, but she was really nice about it and I deleted everything that wasn't right away. I am very grateful she told me. Awesome post btw and closet.☺️

amysue12483 @its_shannana hi Hun and welcome!! Perfume is not allowed, however makeup is. Makeup has to be new and never used and that's for hygienic purposes. I once sold a Victorias Secret ring that had a solid perfume inside of it that you could swatch with your finger and put on your neck or something; I emailed Poshmark and they gave me the go-ahead to sell because it was a solid.

Some of us are just cleaning out our closets and are not going to update items consistently. BUT that does NOT excuse anyone from not responding to inquiries. amysue12483 @misschrissyweav hi doll!! If there's one thing I've noticed that brings attention to you and your closet, it's sharing. It sounds so redundant to keep saying it but it's true. Go to the "feed" and just share each listing as you scroll down. As you share...other people will share your items and they will be seen by their followers which is a great way to get seen. I also constantly try to share my own listings.

It's a lot....a helluva a lot, but it seems to work, plus, I'm helping others. When they share your listings they become visible to their followers which is thousands of people that may not be following you

amysue12483 @pandajoy when you get an item from somebody poshMark gives you the opportunity to inspect it and make sure that it's what the seller said that it was and if not you can contact poshMark and you can ask for a return and basically they would have to approve it or not

amysue12483 @pandajoy you're not supposed to sell swimsuits that are used, underwear or under garments that are used, lotions or perfumes, anything sexual or anything that household items, etc. you can sell make up but it's not supposed to be used it supposed to be brand-new, there's a whole list somewhere

amysue12483 @pandajoy you don't have to follow people if you do not want to but when you follow somebody their listings will show up in your feed making it easier for you to share their items and when they follow you back they'll be able to share your items when they show up in their feed. I'll keep in mind that when they share your items it's getting shared to everybody that they are following.... this is ultimately what would get your listing seen by hundreds of thousands of other people

lifeinstiches If it doesn't fit then no you can reposh it. You can sell it for whatever price you want& don't have to list as reposhing. You can return only if the item was not as described or there are flaws that were not told to you. If you except the item already also you can't return. Sorry this happened but it is hard to find correct size when shopping online it happens to me a lot I hold them for a while & resell.

amysue12483 @pandajoy yes!! Its spamming so they can get your email, potentially identity theft type stuff! I have been getting those nonstop for weeks it's extremely annoying and I just report every single one of them to Poshmark. Always report them and then that way Poshmark will know who they are and they can take care of it

amysue12483 @pandajoy if you click on their profile picture and you go to their page in the upper right-hand corner you'll see a box with an arrow pointing north. Click on that little icon and it will give you the option to report them and when I report I report for spam

lillilabug @amysue12483 what gets me is I have most of my items at $6 and none over $10 and I get a lot of people offer 3 & 4 dollars knowing Poshmark gets 2.95 off the top! I mean I'm not getting rich but I need to make some..that's why I'm on here. But I love Poshmark I love they take the money up front from a sale and you don't get a shocking monthly bill 😳 Anyways I love the list of don't dos it helps wish everyone would rad them.

valcirino @amysue12483 I feel that they are junking up the market and should be reported and deleted ASAP. Do you all report this stuff? When I first started with Posh back in 2014 (I think), none of these seemed to be on here and it really seemed like a great place to sell but I feel these listings really foul up the market. 😢😡
