kimberlydriskel You really should. I'm a hobby photography and do it as side work from time to time. I often do head shots and portfolios for models and you really have a special exotic quality you can use to your advantage. Spend some time in front of your mirror practicing your looks and most importantly figuring out your lighting. Where your light is hitting you, what looks best lined up.in the light that sort of thing.

kimberlydriskel I'm in Kansas City, MO. Not exactly the fashion mecca lol, but u definitely have the traditionally "pretty face" with the exotic look EVERYBODY wants! Definitely look into getting a portfolio. And you can save $ a lot of places but this is definitely not one. Ask around, especially at agencies and hire the absolute best you can afford. It's very tempting to skimp here especially if you don't have a lot of funds. But don't do it, especially when there are other places you'll be able to cit on expenses

justiss7880 Thanks - I can't wait to get rid of the rest of the weight. Been doing some exercising that I couldn't do before so that's helping too. I retired from Law Enforcement about 5 years ago after 28 yrs. I still do Nursing Per Diem. Always loved both! I went to New England School of Medicine (quite a while ago, lol). I also do some blood draws for Law Enforcement at serious accidents, etc. I will be watching your site - really nice things. Hopefully buying shortly!

justiss7880 You hang in there with the Nursing - I'm sure you will succeed. It's one of the really rewarding professions that once you decide it's what you really want-you just can't give up! I know you can do it! I hope to be able to "fit" into smaller size soon & hope to be purchasing several items - that is if someone else doesn't beat me to it!

justiss7880 Really surprised you've never heard that! I don't have a great regimen due to multiple injuries from a motorcycle accident. I have a bunch of plates & screws in my leg, arm, etc. But I do ok. I don't eat any junk at all and mostly have been eating baked chicken & veggies. I got a resistance band system on a bar that you can hold & there's dozens of exercises & I can do a lot of them - there's no hard jarring on my body & it's actually helping. It's really great for toning & building muscle. Only about 15 minutes 3-4 days a week. I was skeptical about it but it's actually working.

There are several nurses in my family, they seem to enjoy it. 😉 I am sure you will do fine. My son will be turning 19 and heading off to college to study Phsychology/Phsychiatry and I tell him that you only get out of things as much effort as you put in them. With hard work, determination, and dedication your dreams are only as far as the effort away! You don't have to be the most intelligent one in the class, you have to be the one that realizes tour dream and the amount of work that it is going to take to get you there then say. "Yep that's GOING to be me" Realize baby and go get it!

bloomsroom It is very time consuming and believe me, I shed a tear or two while I was in school, but I'm so glad I did it. I'm a cardiology/telemetry nurse but also do med-surg. I've also floated to ICU a few times. Let me know if u have any questions I can answer with regards to nursing. Keep pushing, it's worth it!
