@darlingdarlene to be honest, the original strap would be too long, however, you can make it shorter your own for little kids, please see the last picture that I just added for you to show u how to make the strap shorter. I also have another small hello kitty cross body bag for kid if you want. So let me know if you want this better. Thanks
