trust_cassandra @lydianon ah, yes, but we camouflage well. Most just go "oh, you have a very dark edgy style!" And this is true. I mean I wear a lot of Helmut Lang, Ann Demeulemeester, and Rick Owens with lots of casual dark stuff thrown in. It's only when I thicken my cat eye and really darken my lip and people start to notice the nails and the details of my jewelry that they get a hint.

trust_cassandra @lydianon In the evenings I might do something crazy with my hair (I don't dye it - it's already nearly black), really go heavy on the eyeshadow or throw on a collar. But it's not as impish as it was when I am younger (with some exceptions. Some days I will rock my lippy minis and candy striped stockings and it becomes pretty clear. When I start getting carded hard I know I've done it right!)

lydianon @trust_cassandra i might have been you at one time... Earlier i should have said grandkid instead of kid. Ive never had kids though. Never had to fully grow up. Still a troubled teen in an almost old womans body, lol. Im still stuck in the 90's. Or 80's. But the music got better in the 90's so i wasnt into the bar scene until then, when i dropped back into college.

lydianon My bf was about the only guy bringing good music to our city. I was way too old for the all-age shows but the kids have a great energy at punk rock shows so they were more fun.

trust_cassandra @pinkbowsnbling I’m basing it mostly on the hips (mine are 41” though I’ve been losing weight. The lacing on the sides looks like it will allow me to tighten or loosen things as needed. My waist is a 29” but it depends on how high the shorts come up.
