goldrose48 @mimicherry You were so lucky! My cousin did most of the planning for her shower but I carried it all out. That was rough! It was 2 days of prepping food and then finally the shower on Sunday. It turned out pretty well! Phew!

goldrose48 @mimicherry There were definitely great desserts. And ice cream cake! Yes it gets a little overwhelming on posh sometimes with all the sharing but it's worth it. And you'll meet so many nice and supportive women! I'll share some tips later tonight. In the mean time, I'll tag you in a listing with some great info. Also, are you on a party tag list? It's a good way to get your closet some exposure.

goldrose48 @agradschoolchic Nope not a dr. I'm from Maryland! Haha forgot that was there! Way back when, for whatever reason Posh kept deleting the info I'd put there. I was so tired of typing out Maryland that it was just faster to put MD, knowing it'd be deleted in like a week anyway. But I see they've fixed that since I haven't changed it in a long time!

goldrose48 @sdjean Thanks Jean! Summer has been fun so far if I don't count the trip to the ER after I tripped and hit my head against the frame of a screened-in pool. No concussion fortunately! The gash on my forehead is healing well and there's no other complications. Other than that it's been a great summer. How's your summer going?

sdjean @goldrose48 Oh, no! What an experience. I'm glad you didn't have a concussion. And you have a good story to explain your forehead! My summer has been busy and fun. I visited Spain, Switzerland and just got back from a girlfriend getaway with my college friends at the Bay Area house. 40+ years since we met in the dorms, and still friends.

goldrose48 @sdjean It was definitely scary at the time but is an entertaining story now. Switzerland and Spain sound fun! What did you see while there? I've been trying to convince my cousins to visit Spain and Portugal since we've never been to either. That might be our trip next summer. And that's awesome you had your college friends visit for girls' getaway! Having friends like that is the best thing ever 😀

Saw some of London, Paris, Brussels, Antwerp, and Bern so far. Such pretty cities! Yay for summer vacation! goldrose48 @rrrfoxyfox66 I think it depends on which style shoe it is. The platforms seem to run small and very narrow. She’s normally an 8 but has wide feet and bought the CL in 8 anyway. They ended up being too narrow for her. The fit was also a little tight but got even more tight the longer she wore them.

goldrose48 @rrrfoxyfox66 If you can try CL heels on first, I’d suggest trying on a few different styles to see how they fit. Even my not as wide feet were a little too wide for these 8 heels even with room to spare lengthwise (because I’m a 6.5 shoe).
