thestarrynight Lovely to 'meet' you too! Your cover shots are gorgeous! Here are helpful tips I've learned: (1) share frequently, at different times, and at least 3-5 listings/closet, especially for Poshers with large followings where single shares often get lost in the Posher's busy feed, (2) join a share group or two if you have time, (3) follow closets with large followings or frequent purchases (they will often follow back)..

thestarrynight (4) strategically drop prices (ie folks like to shop on Fri when they receive their pay checks, accumulate a critical mass of likes for the item so that the price drop/discount shipping notification goes out to lots of folks, price drop multiple items at a time to create "buzz", etc), (5) congratulate upcoming Posh Party hosts and (if appropriate) invite them to visit your closet for a Host Pick..

thestarrynight (6) read awesome blogs like @vance289 and @edizarodriguez which have great Posh tips, (7) if you're open to offers, create a listing that says so, (8) offer and advertise bundle discounts, (9) support (ie share) other Poshers' sales and events, (10) join follow games.

Check out @meg23's closet and my Suggested User listing for tips on how to achieve these two milestones, one of which instantly gives your closet weeks of great exposure and the other which grows your following *very* quickly.

auchieau48 @thestarrynight wow thank you so much i didn't know most of this! im so out of the loop...like how i just recently discovered that HPs are picked beforehand and not just by sharing to the party 😆 how do you find out about upcoming parties hosts? also i just recently also checked out officialforum and was trying to backwards engineer how sharing groups work but didnt find a description and couldnt figure it out

auchieau48 @thestarrynight i've found the most effective is sharing and dont have any specific strategies (yet), just trying to share and follow everybody back (double for party nights), and resharing my likes and shares to parties, congratulating and sharing host picks, checking sold prices before listing, answering questions immediatly, then having "flash sales" on everything in my closet infrequently.

auchieau48 @thestarrynight also even if someone has a lot of questions I try to be patient with them and many of them do end up buying. For covershots im still struggling a bit with lighting, resolution quality, and deciding on/creating a consistent unique style, but i try to set up as much light as possible and either use the default iphone editing (mostly highlights, brightness, cast features) or Snapseed where you can edit the brightness of a selective area of the pic.

auchieau48 @thestarrynight I also try to also show it multiple ways flat/hanging and on the body form and provide measurements when theres time/energy. For staging and styling I just have fun with a "theme" (colors, styles, my mood) and use different items around the house and bought a few as well. I always add a bit of sparkle or color for contrast. Have thought about borrowing friends accessories since I feel I don't have enough.

thestarrynight Share groups are informal teams that groups of Poshers set up to promote each other's closets. Each group works its own way - you can find several by searching for "share group" in the shop section - but they generally involve sharing 10-20 listings for several closets on a regular (often daily) listing.

thestarrynight Regarding Posh Parties and the Suggested User program, I felt the same way but was encouraged by others to submit requests early. You can spend the wait time diligently sharing/following/being the best Posher out there :).

thestarrynight Posh Parties are announced weekly in the official forum, and/or you can ask select Poshers who routinely share upcoming parties to add you to their party tag lists. For example, I often pay forward awesome Poshers who have given me Host Picks and/or frequently share my closet by sharing upcoming party notices. Happy to add you to the rotating list if you like!
