Handmade by me! Each set of quills are hand selected for color & quality. These are naturally shed African porcupine quills (no animals harmed!), & I hand cut each quill to size (these earrings are about 3" long total, but I'm happy to customize!)
Available in antiqued brass or silver tone hooks. I do have .925 sterling silver, and 18k gold plated over sterling hooks available for an extra fee.

@hillybrooks hello! Thank you so much! Shoot, I don't have any white gold hooks on hand, just .925 sterling silver. I checked around and the hooks are pretty costly to order, almost $50 a pair.. Do you have white gold hooked earrings that you don't wear very often? I could always send the quills without hooks, they're pretty simple to install if you have your own hooks!

@spookyheartsg hello! Nope, no animals are harmed! African porcupines naturally shed their quills, then they are just collected from the ground! They are flexible and very lightweight, made out of the same material as our nails and hair.

@spookyheartsg The quills range in size depending on what part of the porcupine they come from, but the quills I use vary in length from 10 inches to 14 inches! I cut the pointed tips off for these earrings and then use the rest for necklaces (which I keep meaning to list on Poshmark!)

@spookyheartsg they are all natural! No enamel, just the natural texture. Feels like if you rub your fingernails. They are collected and then cleaned! So light, not heavy at all :)
