@hannahhermz I wear the Sz S but just tried on the Sz M & it's still very fitted around the upper thighs, waist & flutes 😊 my current lower hip measurement is 34" & upper waist is 32". upper thigh is 20". The M starts to get looser just above the knee & has a wider flare due to the Sz difference

I re-measured the brown wash fringe pants & inseam is 31-32. They fit exactly the black ones you have. I added a pic of the color for the brown wash so you could see it better
