Please help by sharing and or purchase. I had a partial mastectomy on September 23 2016. I started chemotherapy yesterday November 18 2016 and I feel awful. My husband lost his job in May 2016 and still hasn't found work. My medical bills are tremendous. Any help is appreciated.

Now because of the wreck he has too many points on his CDL license and can't get a job driving a truck until January. We will lose everything by then.

twk_jewelry @sunlvr1821 We live in Arkansas. Unfortunately he is not on disability. He has no income coming in. Just mine and it's not much. And I don't know how long I'll be off work after my surgery. I only have 6 sick days. And no short or long term disability that I can draw. Nothing.

born_againbtq I was in over my head completely with no money and trying to care for my mother while at the same time having to pack up 50 years of stuff from a serious shopaholic(bless her heart) who never got rid of ANYTHING! But all by myself, I had to pack the entire house while taking care of her full-time so I know how overwhelmed you must feel right now. But the Lord and some amazing Christian ladies brought me through it and the same can happen for you.

And I am or was a prescription painkiller addict after going through cancer and even with that obstacle I was able to be there for my mother and even had to administer her narcotics to her. born_againbtq You might be surprised but seriously contact some local churches because I wasn't even a member of any of them and they brought daily homemade delicious meals at a time when I couldn't afford to go buy the food or even leave the house because my mother couldn't be left alone.

born_againbtq I didn't even have a car there for awhile because my brother had sold hers for drugs and I was living in Texas at the time so my car was at home because I was flying back and forth for months before I got her moved in with us after relocating to California for her. Thank God my husband was able to find my constant airfare and a car(crappy as it was, I didn't care) so I could get her to her frequent doctor visits and get her to the emergency room when it was necessary.

sassafras19 Please reach out to the financial counsellors at the hospital. Very seldom will they require $ up front but can also get your bill reduced to almost nil, depending on your income. DO NOT let the hospital financials weigh you down. But please reach out to them before your surgery to get some peace of mind. Prayers for you and your family. Posh ❤️

pammalla Oh no please don't think that way Denice !!! I know you are scared. Believe me, I had stage IV Burkitts Lymphoma. It's a very rare form of lymphoma. I only had a 10% chance of survival. But I told myself and God that I wasn't ready to die. I had too much to live for. And by the sounds of things so do you. Your husband and your kids. pikake07 @dkjewelry : It is hard to go through cancer and live in uncertainty. If he truly loves you, he'll be there for you all the way...mine sought another job. I was just thinking he's coping so well only to find out later he'd been unfaithful to me. Yes, he is a hardworker but not a hands on as husband and father to my kid. I had to cook my own food during chemo. He treated my cancer like a death sentence. So consider yourself still lucky coz you have someone to hang unto.

We went to the City of Hope, with the Lord's grace & the skill of the doctors, I was healed! This was my 3rd cancer diagnosis. Every time...healed! Attitude & positivity are key!! You can ispire others with your bravery! God will not give you anything that you can't handle! You could make a list of family, friends & neighbors...then have someone call those on your list & ask if they would be willing to prepare a meal for your family. . . This was a huge help & relief for my hubby!

lucksterlw @dkjewelry Yes Denice I thought you would have to have something as my sister in law had the same thing. I do not know why they do not explain everything. But on the bright side she is 10 years out and it has not come back. Ask you Doctor more questions so you know what to expect .This is not easy but necessary to live a long life and you need to get to the other side to be healthy. Alternatives would be much worst. Hang in there girl you are stronger than you think. LOL BARB❤️

twk_jewelry @lucksterlw The doctor talks in circles. My first visit he said if he got all the cancer and nothing in the lymph nodes then all I had to do was take a pill for 10 years. Now he is saying I need 30 rounds of radiation. Five days a week. I had the wind blown out of my sails today. I'm sad and feel defeated.

lucksterlw @dkjewelry Wow Denice I can see why you feel that way as it is like he lied to you. Is there anyway you can get a second opinion since this guy is flip flopping? It is important you trust your doctor with this serious of situation. There should be an person that works on your behalf that you can talk to and explain what has happened. Nurses on here should be able to let you know who you could talk to. Let me see if there is a nurse know on here to help.

twk_jewelry @lgggarcia The surgeon. He's the only surgeon this hospital has and he is foreign and only spends about 2-3 minutes with each patient. I see him again next week and that's when he will hook me up with the oncologist. I guess I need 2 follow up appointments so he can get more money.

lgggarcia @dkjewelry no, I completely understand, I work with a lot of them😤😤 what I want you to do is when you meet with the oncologist, make sure to get the back office nurse, or medical assistant!!! She is ( hopefully), your best friend during this process.. unfortunately, your primacy Gyn, and the surgeon don't ever think it's their job to discuss any cancer issues once your diagnosed! They ALWAYS refer all questions to the oncologist until your cleared by him.

lgggarcia @dkjewelry also, SURGEONS NEVER, EVER have anything to do with the patient on a personal level, they are notorious for saying, " you'll have to ask your primary about that"! I'm sorry to say. I'm more than happy to help you with anything you need, any questions you have, just need to talk, cry, ANYTHING oK. After you see the oncologist, please get the nurses direct number if possible oK. I'd be more than happy to call her if you don't get the answers that you need oK💜💜💜

It's been 3 years since I had a Pap smear and she never mentions having one. I probably need a GYN now don't I? Or should I have my PCP do the Pap smear?

I am sorry, I don't mean to be harsh with you at all, it's not your fault, just, since OBAMACARE the Physicians office's, hospitals, ETC,, have really lost their ability to actually be thorough

lgggarcia @dkjewelry many here in California have closed due to non-payment for two plus years😢 so, the patent care and coordination between physicians has suffered terribly. And, you don't have an appointment to see the oncologist for 2 weeks??? With a PPO is there a reason it's so far off???

lgggarcia @dkjewelry what all patients need to know is, the Physicians are only as good as their NURSES.💗 I TAKE CARE OF MY PATIENTS, I love my dr.s , but, they need the file put under their nose W/ a detailed note otherwise they forget you the minute you walk out of the exam room!!

When you go to your appointment next week, when the nurse calls you back to the exam room, voice your needs!!! Let her know that you cannot wait that long and can the Dr please call the oncologist and have them work you in oK💜💜💜💜
