I wondered if I could ask your opinion on a piece I found a few months ago? I found the most beautiful silver ring (I have never seen a metal so shiny and smooth) it's stamped PD inside. It has a brown rectangle stone with a checkerboard or maybe emerald cut....

I am just fascinated by this shiny metal and wonder if it's worth taking to my jeweler for am appraisal or if it's just costume jewelry! I am not a big ring wearer, so would likely sell or trade them. Thanks so much. @elzaboutique - you just need a good patient teacher - it’s not all that dangerous.. is there a college in your area ? That teaches - I teach a class but I’m in upstate ny .. it’s not as glamorous as it may seem - hard on the hands - saw blade mistakes .. polishing compounds- uhg !

@dehavenarts I make do, I make jewelry only pieces that don't need soldering, and oh yes I agree, I buy and sell jewelry and enjoy it very much. We live in boonies of neverwhere, so no college, but we have arts and crafts center that gives classes, and I go when I can. I work with precious metal clay too, it requires a kiln, but at least no open fire)))) I'll think about the teacher, a actually thought maybe if I find a jeweler who is willing to teach basics.. I am so glad you liked your purchases! Thank you for everything! I went to comment to you and it said Oneonta NY. NO WAY!!!! I grew up there and lived there for 20 years! Nothing like Brooks and Alfrescos pizza! Both my parents are buried in Hatrwick Seminary. Every time I go to visit relatives, I have to go to both restaurants and Fly creek cider mill for syrup and cider! I miss it but it’s almost always gray skies. We live in Surf City NC a block from the beach!

Hello again, l did explain that to bob, l told him he could make an offer but there are reasonable limits,l explained the suggested offers by Poshmark. So he does know. I don’t think he knows what he wants,and he’s thinking over all the suggestions that have been made. At least he started early. His Anniversary is in the end of July, most guys wait until last minute and get something stupid. So who knows ? But l told him you were good to do business with,and your prices are good.

@dehavenarts that emerald is crazy beautiful. I know she wants a diamond. A big diamond. 7.5 millimeters and up. I’m staying away from princess with her because her first marriage/engagement was princess. So anything squarish. Emerald cuts I think are going to be a big trend for the next year or so. That’s really what she wants. But they can’t be too picky or they can go to Jarred’s. Lol. Thanks for keeping me in mind.
