chloejoy15 @surferchic -- hi! Sorry I'm just getting back to you. I fell asleep for the night at 8 o'clock! Haha I would wear these with the waistband close to my hips, but it looks like the blogger is wearing them more high waisted? Does it look like that to you? The waistband has elastic inside so I suppose you can wear them wherever you are comfortable. If you're wearing them low as I would, the hips will be about 34". The shorts are cut slightly A-line.

surferchic @chloejoy15 oh! 🎉🎉🎉40" great. Usually, when measuring hips it's the widest part of the pants or shorts that is measured. Find the crotch and measure straight across, that should give you 20" if the hip area really is 40". Does that make sense?
