braveoldworld @austindarla I like meeting Coach experts! No specific questions... I do have a vintage Coach 9044 (eggshell color) and the brass needs restoring. Any suggestions on a DIY method? Glove tan coaches are THE BEST. Some even patina with age in the most beautiful way.

lillylefulman Your photo worked! Got my attention. Definitely sounds like you know your bags. Wonder if you have any advice for me. I got some ink on two of my bags...one is a pewter metallic color...I think I rubbed it so hard with leather cleaner, the leather dye came off. I have another purse that I just got ink on and I am too worried about rubbing off the dye...I read that I should use nail polish remover? Any thoughts? Many many thanks!

braveoldworld @lillylefulman I would not use nail polish remover (learned the hard way myself so I'll save you the trouble). I've had some success with mild soap (use q-tips) and have heard wonderful things about "saddle soap" and Coach's leather conditioner. If it's Coach, take it into the store and they'll clean it for free! Coach is one of the few brands that do that!

lillylefulman Omg! Thank you for this advice! I'll take my red purse with the ink stain and see if they can help me. I started looking online for a color pewter leather polish to see if I can fix the spot on my now, damaged, purse. Boo hoo. Thank you again!

lillylefulman I have Coach leather cleaner but not the conditioner. I used the Coach cleaner and then I used Melatonian leather lotion. I'll get the Coach conditioner. I also got some sort of white paint onto a Brooks Brother buffalo hide bag...I must have rubbed so hard...the gloss on the bag came off too. So disappointed. Thanks again for your help!
