megdragon
megdragon Sad and very true! Thank you for posting this. Posh has not figured out the balance between seller protection and brand integrity. Never buy based on only 🚫Stock photos🚫! Anyone who isn’t convinced check out aliexpress (dot com) and you will see where the abundance of replicas come from.
Apr 19Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @megdragon Yes! I wish Posh did more to combat these sellers, but it’s so hard to keep up since it feels like there are a dozen popping up every day! I’ve now added a few screenshots from aliexpress to show where most of these charms come from. The average cost for these fake charms are around only $7, imagine the profit these sellers are making by ripping people off!

luzguerra @lillelelime Thanks for the advertiser. It's so sad, that people do that. For me is turned suspicious when sellers has a post saying. I have any sizes and colors all brand new. To me sound like a Pandora retailers.

brittmillard831 @luzguerra hello, I am commenting because I may one of the ones that get flagged by this post and would like the opportunity to speak my side. I realize I also may be the exception to be rule in this case

brittmillard831 . I own a local boutique here in my hometown of Ohio. The concept of my store is to offer name brand items at near wholesale pricing. I Buy a lot of estate jewelry and things like that however recently a lid ended pandora retailer approached me asking if I would buy out their merchandise as they were closing and Pandora will no longer buy out their flagship stores. I had to put up a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money to make this possible, however like any other business decision it was an investment.
Apr 19Reply
brittmillard831
brittmillard831 I purchased roughly about 700,000 dollars in retail but at a low enough price that I was able to offer it in my store to the public at a much discounted rate. Also what many people may not know is pandora recently signed a contract with Walmart allowing drop shipping through their sight. This send a lot of private boutique who detailed Pandora into a frenzy, causing them to want to sell.
Apr 19Reply
brittmillard831
brittmillard831 AGAIN IN UNDERSTAND I MAY BE A RARE CASE however posts like these can harm the small business owner who is trying to feed her family. Finally the sellers who are doing this need to understand that it is HIGHLY ILLEGAL.
Apr 19Reply
brittmillard831
brittmillard831 Pandora is very good at brand protection and will legally Persue those who are falsely selling their items. There is a heavy penalty and their business WILLbe shut down. I personally don’t feel like a $30 dollar charm from China is worth the hundred of thousands of dollars I’ve invested but that’s just me.
Apr 19Reply
brittmillard831
brittmillard831 I will start to encourage everyone when I post my items to have them authenticated through Pandora as of my inventory was given to me in Pandora’s original upc bags, sold to by a pandora retailer and I have no fear of authenticity. For those sellers who are making it difficult to run an honest business SHAME ON YOU!
Apr 19Reply
tjacks529
tjacks529 I agree with this post except 1 thing, I have an extensive collection of Pandora and sometimes I have more than one of the same charm because I like balance. I always used the same clips on my bracelets while some people like to use 2 different clips. I have quite a few pieces that were never worn because I was a collector and I knew they had to be unused in order to keep their value. I would encourage anyone to take their items to a Pandora store for authenticity🤗
Apr 19Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @brittmillard831 You may be an exception to the rule, but keep in mind that unfortunately you are selling items that are often made into fakes and you’re selling on a platform where a lot of this happens. If you’re selling authentic, then that’s great.
Apr 19Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @brittmillard831 The least a buyer can do to cover themselves is to to get the item(s) checked at a Pandora store within three days of receiving the item(s) and prior to acceptance. If the item(s) are authentic then the buyer should accept and release the funds to the seller. If it’s not authentic, then the buyer should not accept and a case should be opened with Poshmark. That way it’s fair for both the buyer and seller👍🏻
Apr 19Reply
brittmillard831
brittmillard831 @lillelelime agreed the process sucks. I will make sure to include in all of my listings a reminder to have items authenticated as a way to continue to spread the word! You warnings does help people in my position. As well to help weed out the fakes. As I said it is highly illegal the one thing we can all do is immediately report the seller and if enough reports are filed then hopefully we can get these users removed!
Apr 19Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @tjacks529 I’m usually able to tell if a seller is selling fakes JUST by looking at their page. You take your own photos and they don’t look too “posed”. You also have a lot of retired items. Most fake/replica sellers sell newer released charms. There’s also a lot of charms that seem to be replicated more often than others (Mickey/Minnie character heads, pink bloom charms, etc). Also, the fact that you are selling a lot of “personal” items says a lot too.
Apr 19Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @tjacks529 But I’m sure you can see for yourself that almost all of these sellers that have a lot of new items in stock are selling China fakes that re worth nothing. Honestly, it’s not too hard to spot a fake seller if you know what to look for. Like I said above and you just stated yourself, the best thing for both a buyer and seller is for a buyer to go to Pandora for authentication😊
Apr 19Reply
tjacks529
tjacks529 @lillelelime I totally agree with you! I have seen so many fakes especially the mickey/Minnie charms. I feel bad for people that get duped. Thank you for trying to educate buyers💕

mtex37
mtex37 Agreed!!! I’ve been collection pandora for 5+ years and I can say that replicas are stepping up the game 100%! Are there any posh sellers here who do sell authentic charms that you would recommend? There are several big closets but I’m skeptical of the big closets with hundreds of listings
Sep 27Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @mtex37 I honestly don’t know of any reputable sellers. Most of the time if they have multiple new listings, the charms are not authentic. I’ve only purchased from sellers who have just a few used pieces, and you can tell that it’s from their personal collection. Even then the first thing I do before accepting the item(s) is go to Pandora and have them look at the charms. It’s not worth the risk, in my opinion🤷🏻‍♀️

jessvonsix @brittmillard831 has the best pandora inventory I LOVE. They shine like diamonds so you know they are real!!i I gave her 5 stars for my purchases so much check her reviews.... but @shara01 is a complete fake should I go to pandora directly about the seller bc she seems to have made way too much money on garbage charms. I got the wrong order and very decent fake Mickey and a super dull Clare’s like quality radiant heart and the fakest orchid charm. All fakes confirmed

stephanieredhes @lillelelime I had a post like this in my closet because I've been on posh for quite some time and I buy & sell charms here to and poshmark deleted my post because someone complained. There are tons of fakes here ladies buyers beware of what you buying. Poshmark doesnt do anything about selling fakes because that's their money they are making off of innocent people. Its sickening!!
Feb 03Reply
stephanieredhes
stephanieredhes @lillelelime I had a lady who bought a real solid gold charm in my closet, she received the charm then told posh it was fake then they asked her to send it back and she sent me back an EMPTY envelope an dosh did nothing!!!! Its such BS! It took me threatening with the local news station before I got my money but never my charm I cried and cried because of how posh treated me.

lillelelime @stephanieredhes Of course! I’m doing what I can to let people know since Posh does absolutely nothing against these buyers.. All they want is their 20% cut. I see more fake Pandora on here than real, unfortunately. It’s so sad

I'm deaf gonna tag u if thats ok..thanks again
Feb 15Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @prettymommy01 Honestly the fakes are so so good it’s really hard to tell☹️ I can tell the difference when directly comparing with the authentic charms on Pandora’s site. High number of Pandora items in the closet usually means they’re fake. Feel free to tag me and I’ll do my best by responding on this post.
Feb 15Reply
prettymommy01
prettymommy01 @lillelelime....thanks, will do!!
Feb 15Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @prettymommy01 Regarding the pieces you’ve purchased, the best thing to do is NOT ACCEPT the item. You have two days after receiving to go to a Pandora store and have them authenticate it. If they are fake, open a case with posh and they’ll let you send it back for a refund. Unfortunately Poshmark doesn’t try to get rid of fakes due to the fact that they make so much money off of the sales..
Feb 15Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @prettymommy01 I just viewed your purchase history based on the “love notes” you gave.. The most recent, heart dangle with cubic zirconias, is unfortunately definitely fake. The two hearts/red enamel one is authentic. You can also tell because she isn’t only selling Pandora, she sells a mixture of personal items. Pandora NEVER lets employees buy to resell.
Feb 15Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @prettymommy01 @prettymommy01 “LOVE” charm looks good to me, although no clear image of stamp so can’t be 100% sure. The safety chain and the other look good as well, but I would definitely still have it checked since the fakes now are so good. Do you have a Pandora store near you by any chance?
Feb 16Reply
cas19
cas19 @prettymommy01 you can definitely take it to pandora to verify authenticity. I’ve had people go before rating my items so they can verify I sell genuine items. I’m aware of many fakes & I honestly don’t even know where they get them from nor will I ruin my reputation of selling genuine. I’ve shared this listing many times before 😄
Feb 16Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @cas19 Yup, exactly! I’ve sold Pandora on here too. It sucks for those of us who sell authentic items. It wasn’t like this when I first started on here, so it’s so sad to see it like this now. I’ve taken every single pandora piece I’ve bought on here to get authenticated at Pandora. It also drives the value of authentic pieces down since the fake charms are marked as new and sell for such good prices☹️
Feb 16Reply
cas19
cas19 @lillelelime it really does b/c poshers are like “I purchased this charm from another posher”. Like OK why don’t you buy it again & btw it’s fake 🤦‍♀️. I’ve seen a lot of bracelets with charms that the bracelet doesn’t even say pandora & buy it anyway b/c they liked the price. I price mine close to retail & most of the times I get reasonable offers. Definitely tough though. & the poshers helping others away from fakes get banned 😓
Feb 16Reply
cas19
cas19 @lillelelime I mean ppl say “I bought this charm for cheaper at another poshers closet can I buy it at the price I bought it at. Like no hunny that’s too low & they get upset. I send good deals from time to time but if I’m not getting back what I spent I’m just gonna keep it posted till I do. Also I get heated when ppl steal my photos. Which is why most of mine are watermarked but even then it’s hard to sell on here. Fees are high & people want charms for dirt cheap. Appreciate the shares ❣️
Feb 16Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @cas19 I completely understand the frustration. It bothers me that Posh doesn’t seem to care about protecting buyers. I’ve personally reported these sellers/closets multiple times but Posh doesn’t care because they get a nice stack of cash from the 20%. So so sad.
Feb 16Reply
cas19
cas19 @lillelelime yessss. I’m looking forward to selling all of my pandora items. I’ll probably have a limited qty. keeping up with these low priced fakes is hard. I’d love to have a page with comparisons of the real charms vs fake but I’m trying to stay on posh not me banned 😭🤦‍♀️

blondy27 @lillelelime And PM policy said “no fakes”, but it’s full with fake LV! The pictures are shouting that it’s fake and people still asking”authentic”?!?Seriously? For real?!🙈
Feb 23Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @blondy27 Please be careful! I just checked the sellers you purchased from and they seem fishy. Especially the one you purchased the tremble clef charm from.. I compared the charms I have (same style/item as the ones she’s selling) and they look off.. And yes, Poshmark doesn’t protect buyers like they should, unfortunately. Profit over everything, it seems☹️

Feb 23Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @blondy27 You’re welcome! Always always take the charm into Pandora to have them check it before you accept the charm if you can. And if they have dozens of highly “posed” pandora charms/items, then it’s most probably fake😕

darlenebmiller I have bought soooooo many charms on posh, am now upset thinking some could be fakes... II have purchased from one of the poshers on this, they seem real but have not had any authentication .....some sent an extra gift and those I could easily tell were not real.. mostly disney. Should be a list of who not to expect real Pandora from😩
Feb 26Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @darlenebmiller @blondy27 Wow, one of the people selling fakes just had the AUDACITY to comment on this listing. Marked spam and BLOCKED. She is selling obvious fakes. One charm included is a Pandora France exclusive (Eiffel tower with gold heart) and it retired years ago (I was in France this past summer and they told me so!). When they did have it, it retailed for upwards of the $100 equivalent. Fake seller sold it for around $24 and is passing it off as real. Wow.
Feb 26Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @darlenebmiller @blondy27 I literally sat there and compared my Eiffel Tower charm to one she had sold and a whole literal part of the stamp is missing on hers, not to mention small details like parts of the Eiffel Tower having two separate “bars” rather than the one on hers. The work on these fakes will never be as “clean” as Pandora, no matter how hard they try. Just the fact that she knows she sells fakes and had the guts to comment on here..😡
Feb 26Reply
darlenebmiller
darlenebmiller @lillelelime I’m usually pretty careful and try to enlarge the pictures, look descriptions of who they “are” .... and as you say there are differences but I am far from an expert...... all the same it is a shame dishonest people ruin it for everyone.....

bianca1127
bianca1127 @lillelelime so actually I told them just to alert them but what happened is I took the ring to Pandora and then I let them keep it. They gave me a discount on a ring so it was worth it. I alerted Poshmark and they said nothing!!!😬😒 I tried reporting her listings but she was so rude to me saying she bought the item herself when her about me says it’s from pawn shops. How can we get her suspended?
Mar 14Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @bianca1127 You can’t do anything, unfortunately. I’ve spent so much time reporting listings and Poshmark doesn’t care. They earn a 20% cut from all sales, so they don’t care that the items are not authentic. It’s sad really.

Jul 03Reply
lillelelime
lillelelime @ramoska89 I have personally seen that seller and all of their charms are fake. Yes, it is very hard to tell as they are very convincing fakes. They’re getter better and better at creating them. Regional exclusives will almost NEVER be sold online unless they are hiked up 3 times the original price and they are sold by reputable collectors. Like a stated above, any seller that sells multiple Pandora items is a huge red flag. Be very careful😕

angelamarie14xo I received a fake Disney murano Pandora charm from a seller. She tried to say that because she sold an authenticated bracelet before that I should believe ALL of her charms are authentic. I already had an authentic version of the charm (I just wanted another) to compare it to.. so I could see the differences.
Feb 08Reply
angelamarie14xo
angelamarie14xo I disputed the purchase within 3 days showing my proof that it was fake and Poshmark still closed the case in the seller’s favor, saying it didn’t meet return requirements. What else do you have to do to prove you were sold a fake?! The seller admitted to me that she buys a lot of her charms from Poshmark to resell... so maybe she didn’t intentionally sell me a fake, but it was fake!! I compared it to my real one that I bought from the store
