Leather is intact except for a small crack in the strap as depicted in the last pic & small dark areas throughout. Inside pocket flaking (common problem with LV vintage bags), but not sticky. Zipper works. No Date Code for LV before 1982, but it is AUTHENTIC. Needs TLC with leather conditioner and brass cleaner. NO SHOPPING BAG

christineinaz And maybe you got swindled, I'm not sure; but I authenticate Louis Vuitton bags as well as Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and others and you should definitely take this down. Unless you can produce a clearer pic of the stamp as well as the date code; then I'll apologize and buy the bag myself. Lmk

bougie_closet @christineinaz Hi Christine!!! Louis Vuitton® DID NOT USE DATE CODES BEFORE 1982. As you can see, my purse is vintage. Also, the inside pocket is HEAT STAMPED AND NOT PRINTED. Without looking at any other detail, SYMMETRY is one aspect that is very important to LV. All of the beautiful LV pieces have symmetrical patterns, and if one part of a design is partially cut off on the left side then the exact same is true for the opposite right side.

bougie_closet @christineinaz This symmetry is apparent for this LV purse as depicted in the first picture. So if you have two of the same pieces in the same color and design, they will look “almost” exactly alike, with a few mm give or take. I am the proud owner of multiple styles and colors of purses, wallets, travel bags, briefcase, bag charms, and sunglasses. I purchase my LV pieces directly from LV in USA and from multiple countries when travelling, sometimes I order online from LV as well.

bougie_closet @christineinaz Just throwing in an extra here...another simple way to ID an LV is the “O” in LV look like circles and not “0” zeroes. I can spot a fake LV when I see someone holding one, and it makes me irritated that fakes are out their and some people pay a few hundred dollars for a useless fake thinking they have an authentic piece. Thank you for your input, and you may purchase my purse now. ❤️
