@geastwood it is plated, so with proper care it will last for a long time. But that being said, plated gold does not last forever.

Are those cubic zirconia chips surrounding or what?

@hjcombe they are simulated diamonds. The most common type of simulated diamond is cubic zirconia, but since the manufacturer does not identify the stone, my distributor does not label it to avoid misrepresentation. These are not stone chips, each individual stone is cut and faceted like a real diamond would.
