hailstone_ @karahgriffith : Hi, from personal experience, I have not encountered that this necklace turned my neck green. :) However, everyone's skin is different so if you have frequent experiences with jewelry turning green on your skin, it may be best to stick with stainless steel or real gold jewelry, which are the least likely to turn skin green.

hailstone_ @karahgriffith : Jewelry usually turns skin green due to the copper content in the jewelry. When copper interacts w/ the acids in your skin, it has the potential to oxidize. Copper is present in most jewelry besides stainless steel and real gold.

hailstone_ @karahgriffith : Our jewelry is usually made from 925 sterling silver or a zinc/brass alloy. Even 925 sterling silver jewelry has a chance to turn green because it is made from at least 92.5% silver, while the remaining 7.5% is usually copper. hailstone_ @lexie131: It is true to what the photos show. If you have a necklace or even a piece of string, we recommend to measure 14" and you can see how long that would wrap around your neck. For most people 14-15" is choker length. :)
