This is a stunning piece made by me but inspired by another artist I recently learned form her name is Hadar Jacobson and I love her work.

I have a boisterous and happy flock of seventeen budgies, and in the past 40 years, have had many other parrots, plus pigeons, and Galliformes ( = pheasants, peafowl, quail, and even the most successful bird on the planet, the humble chicken). 'Bird people", unite. They're the bestest! :-)

@furfiberfun amazing. I would of love to meet your flock. I have a Pionus as well and I want more but I’m relatively new to this and I’m not sure how me Sennie will take another bird. She is very possessive. 😅

@matana Cool, what Pionus specie? For your Sennie and Pionus: reward them when they are both out with you, and not fighting. Give both lots of praise, neck-scritches, and treats. Hopefully they'll stay peaceful. Another mid-size, playful specie to enter your flock, to be the 'clsss clown', would be a Caique.

@matana Aaw, that's super! Free flight is so healthy for them! (All my 'keets are unclipped too.) You're being a great bird-slave, er... birdy mom. :-) Just make sure to keep at least 2 barriers between them and any open main-house-doors or windows. That way they won't accidentally fly away and be lost!

@matana Birds have great pet-lives, with caring owners like you. Proper care can add near-decades to their thankfully long lives. Keep up the good work. (A Meyer's would be another mid-size, pretty African to add to the flock, if the Caiques seem to be "too much bird". Caiques 'live large'!)

@matana Hi! I have owned and operated a sanctuary for over 20 yrs now. It's been the love of my life as well. I have 16 parrots in all which include 7 macaws, 2 cockatoos, an African grey, a patagonian conure, an amazon, an African ring neck, a derbian, a sun conure, a budgie...... whew.... lol.... I'm not a formal 501 3C so my disability/ retirement pays for them now since I got sick and don't work anymore.

@matana I work with the local shelters here and within the community for special needs birds. I only have 2 that aren't completely tame now and i'm working with those. Some of the birds I have have been mistreated or have been in 10-12 homes. It's so hard on them because they pair bond to their owners. It's a devastating loss for them.
