@cherylroth2 Very very nice...wow.
cherylroth2
@codegirl6 thank you very much! Tells you how old I am....lol 😊
codegirl6
@cherylroth2 You and me both lol
codegirl6
@cherylroth2 Do you have any idea what the brand might be? On the tag?
cherylroth2
@codegirl6 hi there. I'm so sorry, I cant make out what the tag says. Too old and faded. I did enclose a photo of the tag, you may be able to recognize the logo better than I. I also found an original on etsy, ($645 and had 2 holes in the middle of back), but that tag is too faded also. Sorry I couldn't help more. Have a great evening.

@cherylroth2 Yes, I saw the tag in your photos. I couldn’t make out the brand though, so I thought perhaps it’s more clear in person. Just wanted to ask. Thanks for the info 😊
cherylroth2
@codegirl6 yes, I'm sorry it's not any better in person. I did try checking on other originals to see if they had a brand, but not luck. I wish I could be more helpful. 😄 enjoy your evening.

Hi. Not to ruin your parade, but I am not so sure this is authentic. I have an original 1977 shirt from when I was a mere age 14, and have had 2 re-made as silk screens since. The original that I have has a reddish-orange "Led Zeppelin" shirt tag. Not a tag, but an inside silk screen. I paid a whopping $7.50 to see Zep. For the life of me, I can't remember what I paid for the shirt.
cherylroth2
@izabutton good morning. You are not raining on my Parade. Thanks for the info, but I bought this shirt personally at the concert, so I know for a fact its authentic. Enjoy your day.

@izabutton ....i did want to add ... before you question the authenticity of a concert shirt....comparing it to yours that is....please keep in mind at any concert there are many different vendors selling shirts and other memorabilia. I think it is safe to say they don't all use the same brand shirts or companies to purchase their products! With that said, we could both have "authentic " shirts by different vendors at the Forum.

@cherylroth2 Hi Cheryl! I found the name of the t-shirt company (the tag on your shirt). It’s “Ched”, who was possibly bought by Anvil. As far as authenticity, yeah— it’s so difficult to prove for sure, bc you’re basically taking a stranger at their word. And I know there are people on EBay who buy old deadstock tees, reprint with an old band name, then pass them off as “vintage”. I can almost always spot those.

@cherylroth2 This shirt is so freaking awesome, that I’m actually not terribly worried about it. I just want a Zeppelin tee that’s not printed on some garbage cotton or overly-thick cotton like most t-shirts today. I want one which feels vintage, and looks vintage, (and bonus if it actually is vintage). I’ve looked at Madeworn but I think they have weird sleeves, so I probably won’t go that route.

@cherylroth2 I just wanted to let you know that I identified the company. And thank you very much for your offer, too. I’m still looking around, but I will definitely be buying a Zeppelin tee and yours is up close to the top of the best ones I’ve found in my price range.

@codegirl6 hi there. You are so awesome!! Thank you so much for all the research and sharing the information! I wish you the best on your search. If you have any further questions, let me know. I am still in Croatia till next week and my service is limited. I will take my vacation hold off when I get back. Have a great day!!
cherylroth2
@codegirl6 hi, happy new years! I was just re-reading your research. That was so kind of you to share with me. Did you ever find your "dream" shirt? I hope you did😊.
miker1102
@izabutton this is authentic.
miker1102
@codegirl6 this is an authentic tee. Ched was the most common 70s tag on these shirts.
miker1102
@cherylroth2 so I have bought and sold thousands of dollars worth of these shirts. Ched is the most common tag and was the official vend tag. The issue is most of the people were not alive and do not remember concerts from the 70s and 80s. Merch was not the same. T shirts were still made in America.
miker1102
single stitching is also a given for 70s shirts.

@miker1102 hi there. Thank you so much for your feed back!! That was very kind of you to take the time!! Obviously you know much more than I. The fact I did by it at the concert (yes, I'm that old...lol), is the reason I know it's authentic 😊. I actually learned a lot from your comments. Thank you again and enjoy your day!!
