calla7667 @denimdaisy You are welcome! Both of ours were 5 when we rescued them and one of the first things we did was purchase pet insurance as a precaution. Several companies but we chose Petfirst. They have been great! Best wishes to you! 🤗💕💕

lasknickknacks @denimdaisy patience above all else...mine were really mistreated and so I have to be careful not to raise my voice and get angry with them because it will literally scare the “piss” out of them. I don’t know your new doggie’s history, but just give them as much love and kindness as you can! They will return the love with all their hearts 🥰

denimdaisy @theonlynomad Every day I'm looking at the rescue sites telling my boyfriend about all the different animals, from dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, reptiles to farm animals that need adopting. When I get another full time job we're considering adopting a flock of laying chickens to get some eggs & give some hens a new lease on life, since our house came with a full equipped chicken coop.

denimdaisy @owensmomo Oh! I gotcha. Lol I just made myself sound like such a New England person. That's amazing. Most of the Northeast shelters are no kill but I know there are a ton of kill shelters throughout the United States. Many senior pets end up on the kill list a lot of times, which breaks my heart. Senior pets are wonderful for folks not equipped for caring for a puppy or younger dog

denimdaisy @owensmomo Thats awesome! It has helped me a lot to share what causes I'm supporting! ♡ I think people like knowing that their money is going somewhere important. I've also found that it really helps to list new inventory often. I mainly sell what I already have so I don't have to buy things to sell & its 100% profit. I list 3 items a day & it helps move my closet up in Google searchability. I find I make most of my sales in the early morning.

denimdaisy @owensmomo No problem at all! A lot of the Poshers you'll find sharing multiple items in the morning are also full time Poshers. On Poshmark its all about helping one another. People here have taught me most of what I know about selling here. I also find a lot of great sellers who are retired store owners & whenever I find them, I ask them for tips. denimdaisy @fifi1031 Shih tzu are highly desirable in the shelter system so they go quick. we looked everywhere & couldnt find one there. We found a private person who was a breeder who is ill & cannot care for their breeding females any longer. We're so glad we got her out of there..there's a lot of dogs whose owners wouldnt go to a shelter. We found a post about her on Craigslist. It sounds odd to look there but in my opinion rescue is rescue, whether from a shelter or an individual person

I filled out so many adoption applications for dogs only to find out they'd already been adopted when the shelter called or emailed me. Best wishes. I used Petfinder.com which sent me a notification each time a shih tzu was available so I could apply ASAP

fifi1031 @denimdaisy i know - I was in a taxi at the Shelter in 45 minutes- after Oscar was posted! The people kept calling for Oscar & running in while I did my application! It was a mad dash! I missed one the previous day!

fifi1031 @denimdaisy I have tried Craig’s list too- & I am on the alert site- but it’s a challenge- Fifi had a litter by mistake - I gave them all away at my office- so her legacy lives on and I still get pictures from all my ex co- workers! ❣️

We woke up one day & texted the lady with the ad for Stella-we went home that night as dog parents at 10 pm & I basically begged my boss to let me work from home with her the following day. We need to get Stella fixed soon as we've found at 7 yrs she can still have pups-we are super careful & use doggie diapers when she's around unspayed males!

denimdaisy @careyzanne Awe! You're so sweet! Shib tzu rescue is a special process especially if you're in an area where they are a highly desired breed. It took me a lot of emails, shelter applications & phone calls- but we found little Stella & she found us. She was a breeder dog & her owber who was the breeder was ill and could no longer breed. We're glad we got her out of there-they bred her 8 times in 7 years - ugh!

carey_anne_1968 @denimdaisy OMGOSH, she now deserves to be the Princess she really is. Our Sassy & Lily’s owner died suddenly, so I took both of them so they wouldn’t be separated. My husband, who I married 4 years later, loves them like they’re his children. They have given so much back, more than words can express.

She has helped us form our own little family- we rescued as soon as we could, the month we moved into our house & although it was crazy it was well worth it
