I saw posher with several pair of earrings listed all had hallmark in pics & were new or like new yet priced under $125. I don’t know enough about jewelry to tell for sure but I bought a pair like that once on here and got them authenticated and they were fake. I filed a complaint and could return them. But I don’t trust it anymore, too many fakes and since it’s often under $500 you don’t have any guarantee...!

charlink @cwick628 jewelry is very easy to buy cheap fake on chinese websites, people sell them on here with big profit claiming it’s authentic. When they get caught they just start a new account and start over. Don’t be fooled and be safe ❣️

charlink @navajoluvbird sure they do, but it’s always annoying when you find what you think is your dream bag, and then a week later it turns out to be fake and you have to wait for a refund and start looking again 😉 It is a great thing that posh authenticates but because there are so many fakes I think it’s good to have some basic knowledge yourself!

rubi_na I purchased a bag it passed authentication when I got it the purse leather didn’t feel strong and sturdy and the chain is super light I have a much more affordable authentic Tory Burch bag that feels more expensive than this bag I bought. It has the same leather intertwined chain that feels much heavier to the touch compared to the Chanel and the leather on my Tory Burch bag is strong. I even have ysl and Balenciaga and this bag feels nothing like them. I’d really appreciate your help

charlink @rubi_na okay, what I would do in this case is get an extra third party authentication at ‘Real Authentication’. There’s also other services but I consider this one to be the best. They have a website and app, you upload some pictures and they will authenticate the bag for you and you will know with 100% certainty if it’s real or not! It’s only $20 so if it really bothers you know I’d strongly recommend for your peace of mind!

thao_mimi does this apply also to wallets/SLG?? It looks like wallets dont have that little "R" printed next to the brand name on some of the wallets. I checked their wallets on the Chanel website directly and even the authentic one's don't have it either

charlink @thao_mimi true, this guide is really for (vintage) bags, small leather goods such as wallets are different! For newer items, especially wallets etc I’d say to focus on the authenticity code inside, most fakes don’t do a good job with that so it can be an easy way to spot the fakes...

charlink @zarafashions he there! The rule or the R symbol only goes for hardware. In short: if any of the hardware has this symbol embossed: ®️ - then it is a fake because real Chanel hardware never uses the ®️ embossed on hardware. Hardware includes CC turnlocks and other CC charms on zipper pulls etc, such as the ones in the pics above

charlink @rubi_na If you want to get any doubts about authenticity out of your mind, I’d highly recommend getting it authenticated again with ‘Real Authentication’ (cost $20), they’re really good and I’ve used them a lot. They’re real professionals and will be able to take away any doubts you might have and can issue a certificate of authenticity! @jbrowne83

charlink @danielleb811 hi there, if it’s a Chanel leather bag it should either be produced in France or Italy. Every bag has this information stamped somewhere (if it hasn’t faded...). Some of the small leather goods can also be produced in Spain. Does this answer your question?

I’d recommend to get third party authentication if you want to be sure though (zeko, real authentication, entrupy).
