Question: I have this bag (Examiner No. 5) in *pristine* condition from a much later year (V— 1999) which I purchased because I had given up on finding what I really wanted— one from the 1980s, (preferably from 1987, for personal nostalgic reasons.)
Yours is the closest I’ve found— C— 1980– was also a seminal year for me. So my question is, would you consider a trade? I don’t understand why everything about poshmark yet so I’m not even clear on how that’s done.
But I had to ask.

Omigosh that is such a generous discount. ❤️❤️❤️ I didn’t see it before I wrote you my question. I would of course provide photos ASAP.

Dang— autocorrect added the word “why” in there (“I don’t understand why everything about Poshmark yet.”) Argh.

Maybe I should just try to sell mine. Guess I need to think this through better.

@radiodaddy Hi! Thanks for your message! I appreciate your kind offer of a trade. ☺️ However, for this bag, I’d prefer to sell it if at all possible! It’s such a great bag, and it was passed down to me and is quite special and in mint condition.

@radiodaddy I’ve done a lot of reading about it and it was thought of as quite the bag to have! I even read it was part of a “quintessence” collection of items years ago that were known to be ultimately perfect! That is awesome you have one from ‘99! I’m sorry that you haven’t found one from ‘87 though! But I’m happy to keep an eye out for you! :)
thewaterkindred
@radiodaddy You should definitely list yours with pictures regardless! Especially if it’s in such amazing condition!! Someone might be on the hunt for the one from 1999! ☺️
radiodaddy
@thewaterkindred I want to try to buy yours. Thank you for the offer. ❤️ Ghurka doesn’t do very well on here I’ve noticed; I get about 1/4 of what I get on the E*** place. So I’ll list there.
Or maybe there *too.*
I’m touched that you’re willing to part w/your Examiner that has such sentimental value to you. Makes the bag all the more ❤️special.❤️

@radiodaddy Awe, no problem! And I hear ya! Best of luck listing & selling yours! ☺️ I saw you were on Pinterest, btw! I am, too! That’s also a great search engine for possibly finding vintage Ghurkas from the 80’s! 👍🏼

@thewaterkindred Well yours is 1980 (another very meaningful year for me) AND in very nice condition. I want it and will get it (unless someone else grabs it first) once I have a better sense of how $ is coming in & going out this month. watching to see if some things sell... re: Pinterest, I’m rarely on; it’s so overwhelming once I go on “just to look around a bit” lol, I never want to come back to real life afterwards, but you’re right, might be great place to hunt for a particular year.
thewaterkindred
@radiodaddy I totally understand! Also, I actually just sent you a pin on Pinterest that might be helpful, too!
radiodaddy
@thewaterkindred hi.... I have trouble getting into Pinterest with this phone... that’s why I haven’t seen it.... but thank you so much for remembering my obsession. ❤️
thewaterkindred
@radiodaddy No problem! :) I created a bundle for you last week, did you happen to see it?
radiodaddy
@thewaterkindred um... 😐
