phoebeleith1976 I've registered with eBay and plan to list my expensive collectibles and will also list them on Poshmark. The only rule is that their prices need to be the same. I have a Gonzales wedding vase, a vintage copper weather vane, a Hummel, two Lladros etc. etc.... Poshers like and share such things and you'll hear from dealers sometimes, but not like on eBay. The photography is very important on Poshmark. Your portrait photo is gorgeous!

mazyodc @onegirlforever I In the last few days I’ve been trying to find folks who have a closet like yours which has items similar to mine - vintage - and follow them. I don’t have current fashionable items in my closet so it’s unlikely that younger buyers who are into current fashion will find my closet interesting. It is time consuming to try to appeal to buyers who would appreciate the contents of my closet. Good luck in clearing out your closet🥰

mazyodc I do sell more on eBay with much less effort. You have to work atPoshmark every day - I have sold 4 items on eBay for every one I sell on Poshmark!

Another way is go to your Feed, to the Right of the Search box is an icon like the outline of a person with a + by it. Tap the person & in the Search box type @catcandle. It should take you there....

onegirlforever ... Also, at the top Left corner is a box that says All/Home/Women’s.... that’s the market box, Tap it to view different markets. Also, tap the Shop button & type Vintage. It will seek out anything Vintage depending on which Market you’re in ie Home for vintage home stuff....

There are multiple reasons why you would want your stuff categorized, like home stuff under Home, bc Partys have themes, you wouldn’t be able to share a purse bc that’s not a home item, whereas a sugar dish is a home good. I’m trying to follow more sellers who have similar items in their closet - I don’t have the up to date fashions that so many buyers seem to want. Unfortunately, few of the young adults today are interested in collectibles- my adult children aren’t.

mazyodc Another posher suggested I look at the feed page to find buyers and sellers of vintage, since many of my items are vintage. I think many if not most poshers are looking for trendy youthful clothing and I don’t have that.

mazyodc Since I have tried to find folks interested in vintage, especially those who buy as well as sell, and follow them, my sales in Poshmark have improved dramatically. My eBay sales have dropped since many of my more desirable items have been sold. Of course, I follow everyone who follows me. I also try to share but only about once a day or every other day.

mazyodc @abbeyroad1968 This is a first for me. I’m surprised that I have heard nothing from Poshmark. They have responded quickly in other instances involving some complaints and have been very fair. I think I’d better start keeping a list to avoid this happening again. It isn’t a large sum of money but I hate to lose the item snd the money. Can’t understand the buyer not following up since he paid for it.

cutestlilth1ng Hi. I have been on Poshmark about two years. I recently listed some high end jewelry and someone made an offer. As an Ambassador, I wanted to ask your opinion on how you can tell a Posh seller/buyer is legit? What are some red flags to look for so you don’t get scammed? If someone buys your item and you ship it, is there a way they can have your item but then not pay? I am nervous. I would really appreciate some advice! Thank you in advance!

mazyodc @cutestlilth1ng Poshmark doesn’t send the seller a mailing label until payment is made by the buyer. I haven’t sold anything over $100 but I think the danger is not in the buyer not paying but it seems like sometimes a buyer will claim something is wrong with the purchase and when they return it they have switched with a fake copy of what they received. I don’t know if it happens with jewelry but it does seem to sometimes happen with designer handbags.

mazyodc @sweetfinds007 It seems to me that we have to try to get “eyes on our closet” in order to make sales. I try to follow new people every day. I go to Find People, brands and then I go to vintage since a lot of my items fit in that category. I click many of the follow (blue). I also randomly check out the love notes to try to find buyers who purchase items like the ones I’m selling.

poshportfolio I like your photos. Well I have been on Poshmark for one month. Still can’t figure out if I press follow the blue button or following for the traffic coming in daily. mazyodc @poshportfolio Hi Kelly, Building a following on Poshmark can take time. While it’s fairly easy to have a number of followers it doesn’t mean they actually look at your closet so it helps to try to find people who are interested in buying what you are selling. One way to do this is to go to Find People and click the names of companies that make the items you’re selling.

mazyodc Next click my brands and then click all the Blue follow signs. You can easily add 1,000 names in a few minutes. Many will follow you back. But that still doesn’t mean they are looking at your items. What I try to do is randomly check on people who follow me checking if they are buyers and then look at the love notes to find people likely to buy things I’m selling. I tend send them an invitation to check out my closet.

mazyodc @poshportfolio I made the offer based on the items you “liked” . I found that with 3, we were under the 5 lbs so I added the beret and the rosary you liked. If you want to add the other kilt and linen skirt or remove any of the items, decline the offer and add or subtract what you’d like. Either make an offer or I’ll make an offer not he needs bundle. I also saw that you previously sold on other platforms as well. I am the same. I have been selling on Eb*y for about five years and Merc**y for about 1 year. Everywhere else you just list and walk away. I’m struggling with time management and even getting new items listed because I spend all my time sharing both my items and others. There are so many people my age and especially younger that are obsessed with vintage clothing and decor. j_juniper_07 May I ask a random question? Since I noticed a vintage cookbook. I received 2 books from my aunt, and they smell of her husband's cigar smoke. Pleasant enough , but I do traditionally label my closet as smoke free, pet friendly because I don't smoke and honestly can't tolerate it. How should I handle 2 items now that do smell of smoke? Do I just disclose that and why? Sorry so random
