dawasupplyco size is a 'vanity size' used in womens clothing. mens coats, like this one, are often sized and labeled per the chest circumference (for example "40", as in a 40 inch circumference chest. my navy issued peacoat, that i received in 2004 in (Navy) bootcamp, is a 40R. I am still in the Navy, stationed in Bremerton, Washington, on the USS Jacksonville, a fast attack submarine. i actually collect navy peacoats, which is how i found yours. the oldest one i have is from the 1940s, it is a size 40.
