zippy7772003 what does it mean silver plated with rhodium? would it oxidize and tarnish or what does it mean? as i usually clean sterling silver jewelry with baking soda

shopsonnu @zippy7772003 hi, it is .925 sterling silver and then dipped in a rhodium plating. It adds more shine and is suppose to cut back some scratching. It also is suppose to help sterling silver from tarnishing as quickly. I have read not to use chemicals to clean rhodium plated sterling. Hope this helps

shopsonnu @zippy7772003 twarm water and mild dish soap. They say not to use a toothbrush Two little bowls work, one to soak ( 10 min only no more ) and one to rinse then dry with a soft cloth If you search for how to clean rhodium plated sterling silver online a lot comes, so def do a quick search and read up on. One of the reasons rhodium plating is used is to help with tarnishing of silver , so that hopefully it should not need to be cleaned as often

shopsonnu @cait1443 thank you for the kind words 💕. Yes it's best to clean Rhodium plated Sterling jewelry with warm water and a mild liquid soap. Then rinse and dry with a soft polishing cloth. You should not use any chemicals on your rhodium items and should not brush with a toothbrush.
