i really like the teal and purple patterns. also the dog paws but I don't know which ones to put together for a beautiful quilt. can I have your opinion?
Mar 10Reply

snugglestitches
@waterfront63 you can have all of those in one quilt. I picked those prints based on what you told me you liked, but this is just a starting point.
Mar 10Reply

snugglestitches
If the teal, purple, and dog paws are the ones you like, the three prints would look good together.
If you don’t like the blue and pink I listed there and want another blue and pink, I have others in mind we could go. We could also use some solid colors to break up all the business. I found a couple nice solids in blue and pink that I will add to this listing for you to look at.

I just edited the pictures. I swapped the blue flowers for a dark pink. What do u think?
Mar 10Reply

snugglestitches
I’m not sure I can get enough of the hearts for a big blanket. It bought those on small quantities when I made that little quilt.
Mar 10Reply

I made a couple collages on photo shop just to give you an idea of how the fabrics look together. I put the blue floral back in to the second one to see if you liked it with the pink. Thoughts?

@snugglestitches beautiful i love it

@snugglestitches my husband likes the top one so that is the one we can go with unless you have other suggestions. do you think it is to girly
Mar 10Reply

snugglestitches
@waterfront63 I think those look good together. I don’t think it’s too girly, but I’m a girl...
If your husband likes it and doesn’t think it’s too girly, then I’d go with it if you like it...
To your question about the one with the yellow fabrics and other flower stuff with the blue, they are not flannel.
If you like the stuff in the top collage (without the blue and navy flowers) let me know and I will get the fabrics
Mar 10Reply

waterfront63
@snugglestitches yes the top one as long as it is flannel
Mar 10Reply

snugglestitches
@waterfront63 yes. All of that fabric is flannel. I am going to plan on having the front and back fabrics matching, unless you tell me otherwise. I will get the fabrics and update you occasionally as I am working on it.

snugglestitches
@waterfront63 Hey. Just an update. I made a lot of progress with my quilt projects last week and am currently working on the one right before yours. I am hoping to finish that one this week, and then yours is next!
I plan to quilt your squares with the traditional “x” that is typically seen on rag quilts. Would you prefer the “x” to be done in white thread or more colorful?
Mar 23Reply

waterfront63
@snugglestitches whichever you think would look better. i trust your talent.
Mar 23Reply

snugglestitches
@waterfront63 ☺️. I will go with white then. I also plan to bind the edges with black fabric that has white dots on it that will match the flange on the shams. I like binding rag quilts to give them a more finished look.

@snugglestitches ok sweetie sounds good. i am so excited to get it. hope you and your family are ok with this virus. i am on lockdown and going nuts in this house.

@waterfront63 we are all well. My job is shutdown and kids are out of school so we are at home a lot, and it can definitely be a challenge. Stay well! I’ll update you once I start your quilt.

Good progress on your quilt today. Halfway finished with sewing the squares together. It looks like it’s going to be a pretty quilt. Check our the latest picture to see how much is finished so far.

Apr 09Reply

snugglestitches
@waterfront63 I sent you an offer for free shipping on the queen quilt and matching shams.
Apr 09Reply

snugglestitches
Hi. I sent you an offer for free shipping on the queen quilt, but since it was over 24 hours, it has now expired, and I don’t think posh will allow me to send you the same offer twice... if you bundle it, I will see if I can redo that offer so that you can get free shipping on your made to order item.
Apr 10Reply

snugglestitches
@waterfront63 hello. I forgot to tag you when I first posted this... I did send you an offer for free shipping on your made to order quilt and shams but since it was more than 24 hours, it expired. I’m not sure if it’s possible for me to offer that same offer to you again, or if you can still accept the offer. Maybe try to bundle it so I can give you the free shipping offer again, but you need to purchase within 24hrs so the offer doesn’t expire.

@snugglestitches My grandmother quilted and I have a huge collection of all her quilts. I guard them as if they were precious jewels and I have one on my bed right now. My mother even took it up later in life and was quite talented at it! I have all sorts of hobbies and do things like rehab antique furniture I make all sorts of stuff but I never got the hang of quilting! You certainly have an incredible talent!😘
Apr 12Reply

snugglestitches
@totopuff Thank you! That means a lot to me. A lot of it is just patience and practice. My grandmother made at least one quilt for all 19 of us, and we made a few together. I still have them plus others she made, and they mean the world to me. My mom sews as well and is all around much better than I am but she says she doesn’t have the patience for quilting...

@snugglestitches I think you should make one for dog lovers and let everything be all about dogs! I bet it would sell quickly!😘🐶❤️
Apr 13Reply

snugglestitches
@totopuff I will definitely consider it. I have enough materials for projects to keep me busy all summer right now though.
Apr 14Reply

totopuff
@snugglestitches well that sounds awesome! Your quilts are absolutely spectacular!😘🐶
Apr 14Reply

snugglestitches
@totopuff awww, you are so sweet. As far as the dog lover quilt, if you wanted me to make you one I’d see what fabrics I could find, it just might take me a month or so to get to it.
Apr 14Reply

totopuff
@snugglestitches I am going to let you do that once I get in my new home. Right now I’m just about stressed out of my head, trying to pack up an entire house in South Florida and move all the way across the country back home to Lexington Kentucky. I have not won the relative here. My house is on the market but look at what I’m up against now. But God is the God of miracles!😘
Apr 14Reply

totopuff
@snugglestitches Part II: so hopefully it won’t be too long, but when I reach my destination I will let you know and then I would love a dog quilt! please say a prayer that my house sells soon!🙏🏻✝️
Apr 14Reply

snugglestitches
@totopuff I will be praying for you. A move and the process of selling and buying a home is stressful enough without everything else that’s going on. Good luck! 🙏🏻
Apr 14Reply

totopuff
@snugglestitches It is very stressful and hopefully this is the last time I’ll move. I never thought that I would leave Palm Beach County but it’s way too expensive and I want to be back home with my family!🙏🏻✝️

@snugglestitches sooo beautiful, my grandma used to make these when she came to America😍
Jun 15Reply

@ally_marc thank you! My grandmother was a quilter as well. All of her children and grandchildren (there are a lot of us) have at least one quilt she made for us. So many memories attached to those!

nlovellrn
this is beautiful! would you consider it a heavy or light quilt?
Aug 02Reply

snugglestitches
@nlovellrn it’s two layers of cotton flannel without batting. As far as weight it’s probably a little heavier than a typical cotton front and back quilt with a batting, but should be comparable for warmth, if not a little warmer. I hope that makes sense and answers your question. I can also weigh the quilt if you’d like.
Aug 02Reply

snugglestitches
@nlovellrn I just weighed it and the quilt (long queen) was 5 pounds 13 oz. just for reference an old king size I had (store bought, not made by me, so a handmade one I make might be heavier, I just don’t have any of my regular queen size in my house right now) was 4 pounds 2 oz.

Apr 21Reply

snugglestitches
@balticqueen thank you! I really enjoy making quilts!
Apr 21Reply

balticqueen
@snugglestitches your work is exemplary. My sister in law makes really fancy quilts. They are stunning, such as Yours. Who taught you. I made a couple no set patterns, just pieces of cloth from my kids clothes with flannel on the back, many years ago. I still have one of them that was my son*s.
Apr 21Reply

snugglestitches
@balticqueen my grandmother is the own who originally taught me to make quilts. I worked on a few with her when I was in middle and high school. But, those were both hand sewn, and I hadn’t used a machine in years when I started quilting again. Most of it is just jumping in and trying it and practicing.
Apr 22Reply

balticqueen
@snugglestitches I love the pillow case dresses. Are they really made out of pillow cases?
Apr 22Reply

snugglestitches
@balticqueen no. They are made out of regular quilting cotton. They’re just called pillow case dresses because of the way they look
Apr 22Reply

balticqueen
@snugglestitches Oh I see. They are really cute. My granddaughter just turned 7. She’s at the age where I buy her things and I never see her wear them. I’m iffy on this. The dresses are adorable however.💕❣️💕You sold a lot on here. Do u sell on other platforms as well? ?
Apr 22Reply

snugglestitches
@balticqueen I also have and Etsy shop, and lately have been having a spike in local orders for t-shirt quilts. For now, I have a full time job and the quilting is a side gig, so it doesn’t take as many to fill up my schedule. I am hoping to eventually transition to doing the quilting business full time.
