Write to FIGS! I did and they responded. They seemed unaware this is going on, but interested in finding a solution. I asked them to just make more so they didn’t sell out in 1 hour (because some of us are actually too busy caring for patients and don’t have time to be glued to our phones/email/etc.) The resellers that don’t even work in healthcare wouldn’t be able to gouge us if every single release didn’t sell out in a few hours.

@roleedu I suggested limits to the amount you can purchase, and just simply increasing the supply. It’s a supply and demand issue. If they don’t sell out in hours these resellers won’t be able to ask the ridiculous prices they are. I also suggested they bring back some limited edition styles and a couple weeks later they did! Figs actually seems interested in helping with this problem. I think if more of us speak up and reach out to them they will continue to look at ways to fix this.

@kitkat19983 I started to see that the same people were buying only limited colors and selling for double. And one wouldn’t trade a top with another Posher, and that really made me mad. To take advantage of a situation especially with the pandemic that my healthcare workers are facing is really sad!

I also contacted Figs to say that this has been happening and included photos. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they think people are gonna pay absurd pricing. I’d be open to paying a little bit more for rare colors but not double or tripe the price, come on. I also think it’s funny if you comment something about the price, you’ll either get blocked or the response is, “well you don’t have to buy it then!” Cause them doing this is affecting the inventory for the rest of us.

I’m so glad someone finally said something!! If people stop buying them they will eventually quit doing it. I watched one woman on this app buy a set off M for $30 within 5 minutes she had it reposted on here for triple what she paid for it. She didn’t even care that she used someone else’s photos. I’m so sick of this! While we are all working they are sitting at home buying all of the limited edition and we get screwed. I emailed Figs but there is nothing they can do about it.

Yes I 100% agree instead of just letting the people who want them buy them before they sell out, Price gougers buy them all and resell them for triple the price it’s terrible! Look at my closet I’ve sold figs but a discounted price that’s what Poshmark use to be about, not price gouging!!!!!

@yeti_rn I meant profit as in getting more than what was paid for it. In most of these cases they are asking double of what they paid. Law was an intense word I used lol. But yes, definitely some outlandish costs, but people must be buying if they’re able to list that high and a lot do sell I believe.

I think what bothers me the most is that people would rather triple the prices of stuff they claim not to have worn or are no longer wearing than to sell to get at least some of their money back... I don't understand the logic behind that at all. Items sit on here for weeks even months but they wont Hudgens at all.

@laurlvsfashion I was buying some of the discontinued colors on here but I was paying like $50 but then I started to notice the prices go higher and higher. And I LOVE FIGS!! But to pay $100 for a top or bottom is too much especially since they are starting to bring out popular colors back. So now, I’m exercising more patience and just follow them on social media for hints at new releases.

@704monica you’re correct actually, there are some good deals.. But...last week there was a plethora of NWT price gouged mauve! It was disheartening to see. Idk maybe more complaints or something, because checking back today, I’m seeing a lot less mauve even listed in general, more reasonably priced mauve, only a few posts w mauve for like $100.

@dianeba the Mauve color is the most popular and is always price gouged. And it’s weird because at first I didn’t like the color, I called it ashy pink LOL. But then once it was hard to get, I wanted it so bad I bought a top that was too small for me and petite pants. The FB group is way better than these selling apps. And I stay updated with the +Figs app too. They sell items that they don’t sell on their site.

I think it’s super shitty too. It kinda goes against the whole “threads for threads” mentality of Figs. I think Figs needs to cut it out. It’s hard enough to find scrubs that actually fit me (tall), are cute and sooo comfy.

Ugh yes. Its ridiculous. DOUBLE the price. Its also Figs problem too! They choose to make all these limited edition colors that are then sold out in 5 min and the price is jacked up since they are no longer making them. YESSS!! I emailed Figs about this in June! I’m sick of it!! And just as others have said, they seem genuinely interested in stopping it too. We will see if they follow through tho. But I have noticed that since then figs hasn’t released any new “limited edition” colors. Or maybe it seems that way since they released so many back to back earlier this year. I hope things change going forward! I love my figs! ❤️

@roleedu We should all just start holding people accountable for their actions by making comments on their listings so that others are aware. It is ridiculous to already have a post of the new colors for sale when mine that I bought fair and square haven’t even come in the mail yet!!! They have 30 days to return to the company with free shipping and refund so it makes me mad when people say they’re just trying to get their money back!

@704monica Actually about 2 weeks ago, a girl in the fb group said she got a message back from Figs saying how they were actually getting a legal team againist these people. So figs said that if you see people selling way overpriced figs trying to make a profit, to screenshot and send it to them so they can build a case.

@hiimmontana legally figs actually cant.. there was a recent supreme court ruling that upheld the first sale doctrine.. but they can go after copyright infringement.. using stock photos.. I asked my sister about this. shes a lawyer. you can resell for profit but it's the photo copyright issue.. 🤓🤷♀️

Hey guys agree 100%!! What sucks is I just bought a shipment from figs of the new color Red and they within 1 day was sold out of my size pants in the women’s joggers so I ordered men’s. But they don’t fit... I love the color and the top but now they can’t tell me when if they at Figs will have these back. Not going to pay the $$$ prices people put on here. So frustrating. So I hope they do something at Figs!

@swedegirl777 @swedegirl777 the prices are pretty fair. Usually no more than 20% over retail value on limited edition colors. Be use to always use 🅿️🅿️ and select that you are buying a good or service. There are a few scammers trying to get into the various groups
